The Council approved on <br />motion of Councilman Granger, offeririg resolution and moving adoption, seconded by <br />Councilman Holmquist, and carried on roll call. <br />RE SOLUTION No. 690 <br />RESIDENCE DECLARATION BY CITY EMPLOYEES <br />WHEREAS, Section 76 of the City Charter requires that employees of the City of <br />Redwood City reside within the incorporated limits of Redwood City during their <br />period of`employment*; and <br />WHEREAS, the Personnel Board of the"City of Redwood City has recommended that <br />all City employees be required to execute a declaration affirming their residence <br />in the City of Redwood City; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE AND IT HEREBY IS RESOLVED THAT all employees of the City of <br />Redwood City be and they hereby are required to execute a form entitled "Declara- <br />tion of Residence" affirming the fact that said employee now is and intends to <br />reside in the City of Redwood City during the duration of his service as a City <br />employee. <br />Passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Redwood City at a regular <br />meeting thereof held on the 4th day of April, 1949, by the following vote: <br />AYES, and in favor of the passage and adoption of the foregoing resolution: <br />Councilmen: BRITSCHGI, GRANGER, HOL14QUIST, MORGAN, SPILLERS, SWIFT, and Mayor <br />WERDER. <br />NOES, Councilmen: NONE <br />ABSENT, Councilmen: NONE <br />ATTEST: <br />RALPH S. Councilman Morgan moved approval of recommendation, seconded by Councilman <br />Swift, and carried. <br />TRANSFER OF FUNDS. Money appropriated in 1945-49 budget for Salaries and Wages, $16,140 <br />would not be needed and it was recommended by the City Engineer that transfer be <br />authorized to Supplies and Services for necessary repair work on City streets. The <br />Council had also approved expenditure of 1944 City Plan Bond Moneys to supplement <br />Street Maintenance in the amount of $20,000 for Supplies and Services. This wars <br />depleted and there was an outstanding bill for some $2300 with approximately $2000 <br />on hand. Councilman Holmquist offered resolution and moved adoption for transfer, <br />seconded by Councilman Morgan, <br />and <br />carried <br />on <br />roll <br />call. <br />R E S <br />0 L <br />U T 1 ON <br />No. <br />691 <br />AUTHORIZING TRANSFER OF $16,140.00 STREET MAINTENANCE BUDGET SALARIES <br />AND WAGES, TO STREET MAINTENANCE BUDGET SUPPLIES AND SERVICES. <br />RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Redwood City that the sum of <br />Sixteen Thousand One Hundred Forty Dollars (16140) be and it hereby is ordered <br />transferred from the Salaries and Wages Account, Street Department Maintenance to <br />the Supplies and Services Account, Street Department Maintenance to be taken from <br />the 1944 City Plan Bond Funds as set up in the 1945-49 budget detail. <br />1-1 <br />
