■ <br />x.68 <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING SIGNATURES TO WARRANTS AND CHECKS; in absence of the City Manager, <br />warrants and checks may be signed by the Mayor, and in absence of the City Clerk, by <br />the City Auditor. Local bank objected to the previous resolution in regards to <br />warrants as it did not apply to checks and inactive accounts. Councilman Spillers <br />offered the resolution and moved adoption, seconded by Councilman Britschgi, and <br />carried on roll call. <br />RE SO LUTI ON No. 693 <br />AUTHORIZING SIGNATURES TO WARRANTS AND CHECKS. <br />RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Redwood City, that until further <br />order of this Council, all warrants and checks, including warrants and checks with <br />drawing funds from inactive accounts, of the City of Redwood City shall be signed <br />by the City Manager and the City Clerk. In the absence of the City Manager, warrants <br />and checks may be signed by the Mayor; and in the absence of the City Clerk, warrants <br />and checks may be signed by the City Auritor. <br />Passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Redwood City at a regular <br />meeting thereof held on the 4th day of April, 1949, by the following vote: <br />AYES, and in favor of the passage and adoption of the foregoing resolution: <br />Councilmen: BRITSCHGI, GRANGER HOLMQUIST, MORGAN, SPILLERS, SWIFT, and Mayor <br />WERDER. <br />NOES, Councilmen: NONE <br />ABSENT, Councilmen: NONE <br />ATTEST: <br />RALPH S'. WERDER <br />Mayor of the City of Redwood City <br />CLYDE BEAT.TY CIRCUS REQUESTED a permit to show Saturday May 14th in Redwood City, This <br />was referred to the Planning Commission for use permit on motion of Councilman <br />Britschgi, seconded by Councilman Spillers, and carried. <br />AGREEMENT ON GAS TAX FUNDS PROJECT AUTHORIZING SIGNATURES OF CITY MANAGER AND CITY CLERK: <br />resolution offered and moved for adoption by Councilman Holmquist, seconded by <br />Councilman Britschgi, and carried on roll call. <br />R E S O L U T I O N No. 694 <br />CITY OF REDWOOD CITY ADOPTING BUDGET AND APPROVING FIRST SUPPLEMENTAL MEM0- <br />RANDUM OF AGREEMENT FOR EXPENDITURE OF GAS TAX ALLOCATION FOR MAJOR CITY STREETS. <br />WHEREAS, a first supplemental memorandum of agreement has been presented to be <br />entered into with the State of California in accordance with a project statement <br />submitted by the City of Redwood City for expenditure of the gas tax allocation to <br />cities for the fiscal year 1949, and <br />WHEREAS, the city council has heard read said agreement in full and is familiar <br />with the contents thereof; <br />THEREFORE, be it resolved by the city council of the City of Redwood City that <br />said project statement be and it is hereby adopted as the budget of proposed expen- <br />ditures of the gas tax allocation to cities, and said agreement be and the same is <br />hereby approved and the mayor and the city clerk are directed to sign the same on <br />behalf of said City, said agreement to be binding upon the City upon its execution <br />by the authorized officials of the State. <br />ADOPTED this 4th day of April, 1949• <br />W.
