Duncan attended the Planning <br />Commission meeting. <br />r <br />MAYOR WERDER ANNOUNCED THE PURPOSE OF THIS ADJOURNED MEETING was to discuss with the City <br />} <br />Employees matter of salary plan, and such other matters as might come before the <br />meeting. <br />COMMUNICATION RECEIVED FROM SAN MATEO COUNTY CENTENNIAL COMMITTEE. Mayor Werder appointed <br />i. <br />Mr. E. Ned Butler to represent the City at the festivities of the Portola Trek <br />October 15th, 1945 at the San Mateo City Park. <br />CITY COLLECTOR P. E. PERRIN WAS AUTHORIZED TO REFUND A PORTION OF DEPOSIT TO THE WEST <br />COAST SHOWS,•recently showing in Redwood City as follows: Business License, <br />deposited $900.00. Refund 095.00; also refund $100 deposited to guarantee ground <br />clean-up and posterremoval. <br />PETITION FROM PROPERTY OWNERS VIRGINIA STREET BETWEEN ROOSEVELT AND OAK requesting im- <br />provements was ordered held to the next regular meeting on motion of Councilman <br />Britschgi, seconded by Councilman Spillers, and carried. <br />i' <br />RESOLUTION 1947-11 VALOTA ROAD SEWERS. Resolution approving Assessment Diagram and <br />Assessment Roll, Valota Road Sewers, was offered by Councilman Spillers and carried <br />on roll call. Resolution 1947-1 -,No. 613. <br />MAYOR WERDER REQUESTED LEGAL ACTION TO AUTHORIZE CITY MANAGER ROLISON to sign checks <br />together with Clerk -Treasurer Dodge. He explained his thought that the Treasurer <br />and City Manager were both bonded, and further that under the present arrangement, <br />it was necessary to send checks to his office when he was not available. Resolu- <br />tion authorizing change was offered by Councilman Spillers, seconded by Councilman <br />Britschgi. Under the question, Councilman Granger called attention to the reading <br />of the Charter in regard to signing warrants and checks and requested City Attorney <br />Currie+s ruling on the matter.
