Assessor Brophy recommended an increase <br />in coverage td take care of the additional buildings at the sewer disposal plant. <br />He explained,'tie total appraised value of the City property was $"1,04.5,560. 90% <br />coverage would amount to $943.704. To allow for contingencies he recommended <br />coverage of $950,000. The increase was authorized on motion of Councilman Granger, <br />seconded by Councilman Britschgi, and carried. <br />TENTATIVE AND FINAL MAP - CORDILLERAS'PARK (Formerly Murphy Subdivision). Planning Com- <br />mission approved the 'tentative map subject to same conditions as set on the previous <br />approval. A request was made by Edwin H. Smith, Civil Engineer, that the Final Map <br />be approved at this time. After a discussion regarding lights, alley through block <br />as shown on map, etc., City Engineer Jain and City Clerk Dodge. war authorized to <br />sign the final map subject to City Engineer Jain's approval as to necessary improve- <br />ments, bond, etc., on motion of .Councilman Holmquist, seconded by Councilman Granger <br />and carried. , <br />PLANNING 00I•IMISSI09 RECOMMENDATION TO ALLOW RESUBDIVISION OF LOT 2, Block C. Fays Redwood <br />Gardens. Commission's recommendation approved, on motion of Councilman Holmquist, <br />seconded by Councilman Britschgi and carried. <br />H. H. WEINER APPLICATION FOR SIGN PERMIT. The Planning Commission again recommended <br />denial of permit. Recommendation was upheld on motion of Councilman Britschgi, <br />seconded by Councilman Holmquist. Motion carried. <br />COLLEN CONSTRUCTION COMPANY, REQUEST for permission to subdivide one lot from acreage on <br />Alameda near Woodside Road. The Planning Commission recommended allowing a permit <br />subject to 100 foot right-of-way on the Alameda plus a•25 foot setback from this <br />proposed widening line. After discussion, Councilman Holmquist moved, seconded <br />by Councilman Britschgi, that the request be referred back to the Planning Commis- <br />sion for further study. Motion carried. <br />OFFICIAL PLAN LINES, BROADWAY BETWEE14 14AIN AND JEFFERSON. The Planning Commission <br />recommends adoption of official lines as outlined on the map submitted. Two public <br />hearings had been held and there were no protests. On motion -of Councilman•Britschgi <br />seconded by'Councilman Granger, the Commission recommendation was approved, the <br />necessary public hearing before the Council to be arranged for. Motion carried. <br />OFFICIAL PLAN LINES FOR THE EXTENSION AND WIDENING OF LIGUORI STREET. The Planning <br />Commission had held two public hearings at which representatives of the Genochio <br />Estate and the Garden Motel protested the proposed alignment. The Commission <br />recommends that the Official Plan Lines be adopted as outlined on the map attached <br />to their letter, also that parking reservation on the corner lot at Liguori and <br />Chestnut Streets be abandoned on the north 50 feet of A. S. Liguori's lot at <br />1023 Chestnut -Street. On motion of Councilman Britschgi, seconded by Councilman <br />Holmquist, recommendation approved subject to a public hearing to be arranged. <br />Motion carried. <br />L. M.
