Authority granted <br />on motion of Councilman Granger, seconded by Councilman Holmquist, and carried. <br />y <br />COMMUNICATION FROM HIGHWAY DIVISION denying necessity for pedestrian signal south of Five <br />Points on E1 Camino Real, and offering to assist in working out a lighting plan for <br />the area. While it was admitted that lights, would improve the situation, Council <br />would not concede the idea of signals, and decided to continue their efforts to ob- <br />tain signals at a later date. On motion of Councilman Granger, seconded by Council- <br />man Holmquist, proper authorities will prepare plans for special lighting, as a <br />temporary measure. Motion carried. Councilman Granger further moved that a letter <br />be written to Assemblyman Dolwig and Senator Parkman asking for their assistance in <br />securing signals. Motion carried. <br />P. J. MURPHY STATEMENT FOR $563.25 to cover cost of installing 10" sanitary sewer on <br />Jefferson Avenue. City Attorney Currie advised it would be proper to pay the amount <br />from funds advanced <br />as <br />soon as the <br />work on Kensington Square sewer project had <br />started,.the amount <br />to <br />be included <br />in"the Assessment District. <br />Contract with W. J. <br />Tobin was pending subject to legal ruling of Kirkbride and Wilson representing the <br />contractor. So moved by Councilman Holmquist, seconded by Councilman Swift and <br />carried. <br />AFFIDAVIT OF PUBLICATION, AMENDMENT TO ZONING ORDINANCE ordered filed on motion of Council- <br />man Granger, seconded by Councilman Holmquist and carried. <br />ORDINANCE 600.1; amending ordinance 600 adopted on motion of Councilman Swift, seconded by <br />Councilman Britschgi.
