While it was admitted that lights, would improve the situation, Council would not concede the idea of signals, and decided to continue their efforts to ob- tain signals at a later date. On motion of Councilman Granger, seconded by Council- man Holmquist, proper authorities will prepare plans for special lighting, as a temporary measure. Motion carried. Councilman Granger further moved that a letter be written to Assemblyman Dolwig and Senator Parkman asking for their assistance in securing signals. Motion carried. P. J. MURPHY STATEMENT FOR $563.25 to cover cost of installing 10" sanitary sewer on Jefferson Avenue. City Attorney Currie advised it would be proper to pay the amount from funds advanced as soon as the work on Kensington Square sewer project had started,.the amount to be included in"the Assessment District. Contract with W. J. Tobin was pending subject to legal ruling of Kirkbride and Wilson representing the contractor. So moved by Councilman Holmquist, seconded by Councilman Swift and carried.
