City Engineer Jain advised lot could be oiled and <br />frock dusted, header boards and directional signs erected, etc., for 01500. Coun- <br />cilman Granger moved that the parking lot be put in condition for use, cost not <br />to exceed 01500 which was the first recommendation of City Engineer Jain and City <br />Manager Rolison, seconded by Councilman Swift. City Manager Rolison stated drive- <br />ways would be installed. Motion carried. <br />CITY ENGINEER REPORT ON BID OPENING FOR BASEBALL DIAMOND SPRINKLING SYSTEM. Krieg 115.00 <br />I <br />The ;Low bid was Redwood Plumbing Company but was irregular in that a carbon copy <br />l unsigned was submitted containint conditions on bid which were not a part of the <br />original plans and specifications. City Manager Rolison recommended that if the <br />considered this bid that the contractor be required to sign a proper bid, otherwise <br />it was his recommendation that the contract be awarded to the Associated Engineers, <br />next lowest bidder. W. H. Sadler, Jr., was present and represented the Redwood <br />Plumbing Co., Inc. After considerable discussion the City's Attorneyts opinion <br />I <br />being that without a contract, bidder could not be held to bid, the matter was laid <br />over to the adjourned meeting of Monday night, July- 25th. <br />x AT THE BUDGET STUDY MEETING IT WAS ANTICIPATED DISCONTINUING THE TRAFFIC AND SAFETY COM- <br />
