Councilman Granger suggested that the City Engineer <br />consult with the County Health Department before definite plans for the pool were <br />made, to make sure that all County Health requirements were being met, and so <br />obviate the necessity of late changes. <br />REQUEST FOR WATER MADE BY FRED KRAFT, 540 Cleveland, to Councilman Granger. After dis- <br />cussion of possible ways and means, Councilman Britschgi suggested that the question <br />be left up to Lisle Winter to work out a possible solution and report back at the <br />next meeting of the Council. <br />COUNCILMAN SPILLERS MOVED ADJOURNMENT, seconded by Councilman Holmquist, and carried. <br />Adjournment 9:35 P. DrGE <br />Clerk of the City of ReCity <br />Minutes of Regular Meeting <br />Redwood City Council <br />August 1, 1949, 8:00 PM <br />ON ROLL CALL the following were noted present: Councilmen Carl A. Britschgi, Floyd D. Granger, H. E. <br />Holmquist, Albert H. Morgan Jr., Arthur V.Swift, VI.M. Werder and City Clerk Ralph Dodge. Also <br />present were: Lt.Stanley Wood, Building Inspector Laurie Dunc q,Assistant Building Inspector <br />S. Kreiss, City Attorney C. B. Currie, City Manager E. A.Aolison, City Engineer Glenn M. Jain, <br />Administrative Assistant Richard D. Miller,Water Superintendent H.L. Winter, City Collector <br />P.E.Perrin and Tire Chief J.L. Lodi. Councilman R.V. Spillers noted absent. <br />MINUTES OF MEETING JULY 18th and adjourned meeting of July 25th were approved as mailed on motion of <br />Councilman Granger, seconded by Councilman Britschgi and carried. <br />APPLICATION FOR RESTAURANT LICENSE RAOSt CREAMERYI; 709 El Camino Real. It appearing that the Fire, <br />Police Departments, Building Inspector and Health Department had made the usuaYinspections and <br />had approved the premises, Councilman Swift moved permit be allowed, seconded by Councilman Holm- <br />quist. Councilman Britschgi, under question, commented on the fact that restaurants were opened <br />and operated before permits were received contrary to the conditions in the ordinance. After <br />discussion, City Collector Perrin was directed to tighten down on this practice in the future. <br />Motion carried. <br />APPLICATION FOR RESTAURANT LICENSE GABRIELLE I-MLLORY, 2581 Middlefield Road. Councilman Swift moved <br />request be granted, seconded by Councilman Holmquist, after noting approval of the usual four <br />departments. Motion carried. <br />ACCEPTANCE OF RE -APPOINTMENT OF VI.J.UcKEEGAN TO LIBRARY BOARD. Letter from Mr.McKeegan stating he would <br />be on hand to take oath of office at the next meeting ordered filed. Mrs.Z. T.Thorning will also <br />be on hand at the meeting of August 15th. <br />LETTER FROM ASSEMBLYMAN R. J. DOLWIG offering to assist in the matter of locating pedestrian signals on <br />E1 Camino Real south of Five Points ordered filed. <br />H.H. DUNCAN APPLICATION TO RE -SUBDIVIDE LOTS 2 & 3B3 BLOCK 2, VI -W-& M.,711 Roosevelt Avenue, into two <br />lots. Planning Commission approve application with stipulation that the 35 foot lot to rear from which <br />II <br />ten feet has been taken shall become part of the next adjoining lot and make one 60 ft duplex building <br />i� site. Recommendation approved on motion of Councilman Morgan, seconded by Councilman Britschgi and <br />carried. <br />PLANNING COMIYESSION RECOMMENDED DISAPPROVAL .REQUEST OF C. E.PUGH TO RE -SUBDIVIDE LOTS 20 & 21, BLOCK 21' <br />FRIENDLY ACRES. On motion of Councilman Morgan, seconded by .Councilman Swift, recommendation approved. <br />Motion carried. <br />ANDREW SIFUENTES APPLICATION TO SHOW FREE MOVIES ON OUTSIDE BUILDING.
