<br />on the 1st day of August 1949, by the following vote:

<br />PROGRESS REPORT, L. C. SMITH, HARBOR BOULEVARD, CONTRACT. Citygngineer Jain submitted progress estimate
<br />amounting to $41,183.58 which represents the first estimate less 10% retention which is to be held up
<br />for 35 days. Payment approved on motion of Councilman nritschgi, seconded by Councilman Holmquist,
<br />and carried.
<br />PROGRESS REPORT - FRED J. EARLY JR. COMPANY ESTIMATE #14. On motion of Councilman Morgan, seconded by Council-
<br />man Holmquist, estimate of 018,889.11 was authorized for payment. Motion carried.
<br />REPORT OF FINAL TEST - SEYAGE TREATMENT PLANT. Communication from City Engineer Jain advising that tests of
<br />sewage treatment plant were satisfactory. Letter also endorsed by W. G. Frost and Lawrence Brian, con-
<br />sulting engineers. On motion of Councilman Morgan, seconded by Councilman Holmquist, plant was accepted
<br />as per recommendation of engineers listed above.

<br />RE: Sewage Treatment Plant Tests
<br />Gentlemen:
<br />Tests were run on the Sewage Treatment Plant, constructed by Fred J.
<br />Early Jr., Inc., on Monday, July 25, 1949, in the presence of W.G.
<br />Frost, Lawrence Brian, and Harry Jenks, Consulting "ingineers; Walter
<br />Riegelhuth, Contractors Superintendent; Mr.Nelson of Donr Equipment
<br />Company, and myself.
<br />These tests were satisfactory, and it is our recommendation that the
<br />Plant be accepted from the Contractor, subject to the conditions and
<br />guarantees of the plans, specifications, and contract.
