pipe storm sewer lateral. <br />(c) The construction of an 18 -inch reinforced concrete pipe siphon with a catch basin at either end <br />thereof across Stanley Street at Brewster Avenue. <br />(d) The improvement of Westgate by constructing therein concrete curb and gutter, 4 -inch concrete <br />sidewalks, 5 -feet wide, and 2 -inch asphaltic concrete paving with 6 -inch crusher -run rock base, 31 <br />feet in width, from the intersectign of Westgate with Alameda de las Pulgas to thp,intersection of <br />Westgate with the existing paved surface on Hopkins Avenue. <br />(e) The improvement of Stanley Street by constructing therein concrete curb and gutter, 4 -inch <br />concrete sidewalk, 5 feet wide, on the southerly side.thereof only, and 2 -inch asphaltic concrete <br />paving with 6 -inch crusher -run rock base, 31 feet in width, from the intersection of Stanley Street <br />with Westgate. <br />9 <br />(f) The construction and installation of all necessary appurtenances to the work to be done under <br />items (a) through (e) inclusive.. <br />For further particulars as to the work and improvements herin ordered to be done and for a <br />description of the area proposed to be assessed for said work and improvements, reference is hereby <br />made to Resolution of Intention No.743 of said Council, passed and adopted on the 18th day of July, <br />1949. <br />FURTHER RESOLVED, that the work and improvements hereinabove described shall be done under the <br />direction of the City Engineer of said City of Redwood City,and that materials used therein shall <br />comply with the specifications heretofore adopted; and that the assessments to be made in said pro- <br />ceedings shall be made and signed by said City Engineer. <br />The Clerk of the City of Redwood City is hereby ordered and directed to post a notice con- <br />spicuously for five (5) days on or near the Council Chamber door of th9bouncil of said City of Red- <br />wood City, inviting sealed proposals or bid�or doing the word and making the improvements ordered <br />herein. Said City Clerk is also ordered andirected to publish a notice inviting said sealed pro- <br />posals or bids for the period required by law in the Redwood City Tribune, a daily (except Sunday) <br />newspaper of general circulation, published, printed and circulated in the City of Redwood City, <br />and hereby designated for that purpose by the Council of said City.
