2s4 N';,. <br />WHEREAS said rate of per diem wages is set forth and contained in the specifications for <br />said project, copies of which are on file in the office of said City Engineer and also in the <br />office of the City Clerk of said City; and <br />WHEREAS the City Council of Redwood City has duly considered said scale and finds the same <br />to be correct in aljlparticulars; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Redwood City as follows: <br />1. That said wage scale as set forth in the specifications for the above-mentioned project <br />is hereby adopted as the prevailing rate of per diem wages for work of a similar character to that <br />above described in the locality in which said public work is proposed to be performed. <br />2. That no les Vthan said general prevailing rate of per diem wages shall be paid for any <br />work proposed to be performed under said Resolution of Intention No. 743. <br />Passed and adopted by the Council.of the City of Redwood City at a regular meeting thereof, <br />held on the 15th day of 'August, 1949, by the following vote: <br />AYES, and in favor of the passage and adoption of the foregoing resolution: Councilmen: <br />BRITSCHGI, HOLMQUIST, MORGAN, SWIFT and WERDER. <br />NOES, Councilmen: NONE. <br />ABSENT, Councilmen: GRANGER AND SPILLERS. <br />ATTEST: <br />RALPH S. Most of material <br />could be salvaged when the permanent lights were installed. Temporary lighting would extend from <br />Chestnut Street to Beech Street. I£ approved job could be started after the Topaz & Madison; <br />Bayshore & Whipple; Hazel and E1 Camino jobs were completed. Councilman Britschgi moved approval, <br />seconded by Councilman Morgan and later withdrew motion with consent of the second as the tempor- <br />ary lights would be in service only two or three months at an expense of approximately $200. Fire <br />Chief Lodi to report back later. <br />PROPOSED NOISE ORDINANCE. Carried on agenda on motion of Councilman Britschgi, seconded by Councilman <br />Holmquist, and carried. <br />REPORT ON LEAKAGE TEST - BAYSHORE INTERCEPTOR SENIER. Report was submitted by Associate Engineer Carozza <br />on test made on August 10, 1949 conducted at the request of Mr.Sorensen. W. G.Frost, Consulting <br />Engineer, C. E.Side, Foreman and the Associate Engineer were present. Report was considered favor- <br />ably and Councilman Morgan moved that this be carried on the agenda, seconded by Councilman Swift <br />and carried. <br />HOOVER SCHOOL RECREATION BUILDING. City Manager Rolison submitted report that after a meeting in his; <br />office with Mr. Davison, Mr.M.P. Travers and Mr. C. J'd.Rose they stated that an additional $3000 <br />would complete the building. Council decided to wait opinion of Real Estate Committee in regard <br />to disposal of lots. It was thought the School Board would permit the building to remain. Council - <br />man Morgan moved that this be carried on agenda until next meeting, seconded by Councilman Swift <br />and carried. <br />ORDINANCE REPEALING ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING A TRAFFIC AND SAFETY COMMIEEION.
