29C ' <br />at 8:00 o'clock P.M.; and <br />WHEREAS said Council did proceed on the 6th day of September, 19493 with said hearing, and after <br />considering all objections made and received does determine that due and legal notice of said hearing <br />was given as required by the ordinances of the City of Redwood City, as appears from the affidavit of <br />L., M. DUNCAN on file in the office of the City Clerk; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Redwood City, and said Council does <br />hereby declare, that the buildings or structures situated upon the real property hereinabove described <br />are a public nuisance, and does hereby direct the owners thereof to abate said nuisance within thirty <br />(30) days from the adoption of this resolution, by having said buildings razed or removed; and if said <br />buildings are not so abated by said owners, the Building Inspector of the City of Hedwood City is here- <br />by ordered and directed to raze or remove said buildings; and that the expenses thereof be made a lien <br />on the lot or parcel of land from which said buildings or structures are removed, and which is herein- <br />above described. <br />Passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Redwood City at a regular meeting thereof, held <br />on the 6th day of September, 1949, by the following vote: <br />AYES, and in favor of the passage and adoption of the foregoing resolution: Councilmen: BRIT- <br />SCHGI, GRANGER, MORGAN,SPILLERS, SWIFT and VIERDER. <br />NOES, Councilmen: NONE. <br />ABSENT,Councilmen: HOLPQUIST <br />ATTEST: <br />RICHARD D MILLER <br />Clerk Pro -Tem of the City of Redwood City <br />W. Councilman Spillers offered resolution and moved adoption, seconded <br />by Councilman Morgan and carried on roll call. Councilman Holmquist noted absent. <br />RESOLUTION N0. 769 <br />DECLARING PREMISES AT 1159 MAIN STREET A NUISANCE AND ORDERING THEIR ABATEMENT <br />VTITHIN THIRTY DAYS <br />WHEREAS, L. M. DUNC4, the Building Inspector of the City of Redwood City, did, as required by <br />Ordinance No -303i post a,;notice to abate nuisance upon the real property situated in said City, County <br />of San Mateo, State of California, and particularly described as follows: <br />Building situated on portion of Lots 2 and 3. Block 79,•hastern Addition, <br />commonly known as 1159 Main Street, Redwood City, California; <br />and did send a copy of said notice so posted, by registered mail, postage prepaid, to the owners of <br />said real property, as said owners are listed upon the books of the City Assessor of said City of <br />Redwood City, to wit: Ferris Miles, 1101 Main Street, Redwood City, California; and <br />WHEREAS in and by said notice to abate nuisance, said Building Inspector of the City of Redwood <br />City did fix Monday, August 15, 1949, at the hour of 8:00 Ij:c'lock P.M. of said day at the Council Cham- <br />ber in the City Hall on Middlefield Road in said City of Redwood City, as the time and place when the <br />owners of the buildings situated upon said real property could appear and be heard and show cause why <br />said buildings should not be condemned as a public nuisance and abated by reconstructing or properly <br />repairing said buildings or by razing or removing the same; and <br />WHEREAS said Council did regularly continue said hearing until the 6th day of September, 19493 <br />at 8:00 P.M.; and <br />1A[HEREAS said Council did proceed on the 6th day of September, 1949, with said hearing, and <br />after considering all objections made and received does determine that due and legal notice of said <br />hearing was given as required by the ordinances of the City of Redwood City, as appears from the <br />affidavit of L» M.
