<br />hereby declare, that the buildings or structures situated upon the real property hereinabove described
<br />are a public nuisance, and does hereby direct the owm rs thereof to abate said nuisance within thitty
<br />(30) days from the adoption of this resolution,by having said buildings razed or removed; and if said

<br />ordered and directed to raze or remove said buildings; and that the expenses thereof be made a lien on

<br />ABATEyMT 1147 MAIN STREET, Ferris Miles, 1101 Main Street. Affidavit of posting and mailing was ordered
<br />filed by the Mayor.
<br />RESOLUTION 770 - ABATEMENT 1147 MAIN STREET. Building Inspector testified that building was in such condition
<br />that it should be razed. Councilman Swift offered resolution and moved adoption, seconded by Councilman
<br />Morgan and carried on roll call. Councilman Holmquist noted absent.

<br />DECLARING PREMISES AT 1147 MAIN STREET A NUISANCE AND ORDERING THEIR
<br />ABATEMENT WITHIN THIRTY DAYS
<br />WHEREAS, L. M. DUNCAN, the Building Inspector of the City of Redwood City, did, as required by
<br />Ordinance No. 303, post a notice to abate nuisance upon the real property situated in said City,
<br />County of San Mateo, State of California, and particularly described as follows:
<br />Building situated on Lot 5, Block 79, Eastern Addition, commonly
<br />known as 1,147 Ifain Street;
<br />and did send a copy of said notice so posted, by registered mail, postage prepaid, to the owners of
<br />said real property, as said owners are listed upon the books of the City Assessor of said City of
<br />Redwood City, to -wit: Ferris Miles, 1101 Main Street, Redwood City, California; and
<br />WHEREAS in and by said notice, to abate nuisance, said Building Inspector of the City of Redwood
<br />City did fix Monday, August 15, 1949, at the hour of 8:00 o'clock P.M. of said day at the Council
<br />Chamber in the City Hall on Middlefield Road in said City of Redwood City, as the time and place when
<br />the owners of the buildings situated upon said real property could appear and be heard and show cause
<br />why said buildings should not be condemned as a public nuisance and abated by reconstructing or prop-
<br />erly repairing said buildings or by razing or removing the same; and
<br />WHEREAS said Council did regularly continue said hearing until the 6th day of September, 1949,.
<br />at 8:.00 P.M.;; and
<br />WHEREAS said Council did proceed on the 6th day of September, 1949, with said hearing, and after
<br />considering all objections made and received does determine that due and legal notice of said hearing
<br />was given as required by the ordinances of the City of Redwood City, as appears from the affidavit of
<br />1. M. Duncan on file in the office of the City Clerk;
<br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Redwood City, and said CouncilAoes
<br />hereby declare, that the buildings or structures situated upon the real property hereinabove described
<br />are a public nuisance, and does hereby direct the owners thereof to abate said nuisance within thirty
<br />(30) days from the adoption of this resolution, by having said building razed or removed; and if said
