<br />TION 771 - ABATEMENT 330 HELLER STREET. Building Inspector testified that he found btilding in such
<br />a condition that it should be razed. Councilman Swift offered resolution and moved adoption, seconded
<br />by Councilman Morgan and carried on roll call. Councilman Holmquist noted absent.

<br />DECLARING PREMISES AT 330 HELLER STREET A NUISANCE AND ORDERING
<br />THEIR ABATEMENT 'WITHIN THIRTY DAYS,
<br />VMEREAS, L. M. DUNCAV, the Building Inspector of the City of nedwood City, did as required by
<br />Ordinance No. 303, post a notice to abate nuisance upon the real property situated in said City, County
<br />of San Mateo, State of California, and particularly described as follows:
<br />Building situated on portion of Lots 1 and 2, block 79, Eastern
<br />Addition, commonly known as 330 Heller Street;
<br />and did send a copy of said notice so posted, by registered mail, postage prepaid,, to the owners of
<br />said real property, as said owners are listed upon the books of the City Xssessor of said City of
<br />Redwood City, to -wit: Ferris Miles, 1191 Main Street, Redwood City, California; and
<br />WHEREAS in and by said notice to abate nuisance, said Building Inspector of the City of Redwood
<br />City did fix Monday, August 15, 1949, at the hour of 8:00 o'clock p.m. of said day at the Council
<br />Chamber in the City Hallon Middlefield Road in said City of Redwood City, as the time and place when
<br />the owners of the buildings situated upon said real property could appear and be heard and show cause
<br />why said buildings should not be condemned as a public nuisance and .abated by reconstructing or prop-
<br />erly repairing said buildings or by razing or removing the same; and
<br />WHEREAS said Council did regularly continue said hearing until the 6th day of September, 1949,
<br />at 8:00 o 1 cloc�6.m„ and
<br />WHEREAS said Council did proceed on the 6th day of September, -1949, with said hearing, and after
<br />considering all objections made and received does determine that due and legal notice of said hearing
<br />was given as required by the ordinances of the City of Redwood City, as appears from the affidavit of
<br />L. M. DUNCM on file in the office of the City Clerk;
<br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESODVED by the Council of the City of Redwood City, and said Council
<br />does hereby declare, that the buildings or structures situated upon the real property hereinabove
<br />described are a public nuisance, and does hereby direct the owners thereof to abate said nuisance
<br />within thirty (30) days from the adoption of this resolution, by having said buildings razed or re-
<br />moved; and if said buildings are not so abated by said owners, the Building Inspector of the City of
<br />Redwood City is hereby ordered and directed to raze or remove said buildings; and that the exAenses
<br />thereof be made a lien on the lot or parcel of land from which said buildings or structures are re-
<br />moved, and which is hereinabove described.
<br />Passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Redwood City at a regular meeting thereof,
<br />held on the 6th day of September, 1949, by the following vote:
