<br />ABATEMENT 316 HELLER STREET, Ferris Miles; 1101 Alain Street. Affidavit of posting and mailing was ordered
<br />filed by the Mayor.
<br />RESOLUTION 772 - ABATENTNT 316 HELLER STREET. Building Inspector testified that he found building in
<br />such a condition that it should be razed. Councilman Morgan offered resolution and moved adoption,
<br />seconded by Councilman Britschgi and carried on roll call. Councilman Nolmquist noted absent.

<br />DECLARING PREMISES AT 316 HELLER STREET A NUISANCE AND
<br />ORDERING THEIR ABATEMENT IITHIN THIRTY DAYS.
<br />;yHEREAS, L. M. DUNCAN; the Building Inspector of the City of Redwood City, did, as required
<br />by Ordinance No. 303, post a'notice to abate nuisance upon the real property situated in said City,
<br />County of San Mateo, State of California, and particularly described as follows:,

<br />Portion of Lots 1 and 6, Block 79, Eastern Addition, commonly known
<br />ad. 316 Heller Street;
<br />and did send a copy of said notice so posted, by registered mail, postage prepaid, to the owners
<br />of said real property, as said owners are listed upon the books of the City assessor of said City
<br />ii
<br />of Redwood City, to -writ: Ferris Miles, 1101 Main Street, Redwood City, California; and
<br />VMREAS in and by said notice to abate nuisance, said Building Inspector of the City of Red-
<br />wood City did fix Monday, August 15, 1949, at the hour of 8:00 p. m. of said day at the Council
<br />Chamber in the City Hall on Middlefield Road in said City of nedwood City, as the time and place when
<br />the owners of the buildings situated upon said real property could appear and be heard and show cause
<br />why said buildings should not be condemned as a public nuisance and abated by reconstructing or prop-
<br />er],y repairing said buildings or by razing or removing the same; and
<br />VIHEREAS said Council did regularly continue said hearing until the 6th day of September, 1949,

<br />8:00 p.m.; and

<br />VIHEREAS said Council did proceed on the 6th day of September, 1949, with said hearing, and
<br />after considering all objections made and received does determine that due and, legal notice of
<br />said hearing was given as required by the ordinances of the City of Redwood City, as appears from
<br />the affidavit of L.M. DUNCAN on file in the office of the City Clerk;

<br />NOW., THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVER. by the Council of the City of Redwood City, and said Council
<br />said Council does hereby declare, that the buildings or structures situated upon the real property
<br />i
<br />hereinabove described are a public nuisance, and does hereby direct the owners thereof to abate
<br />said nuisance within thirty (30) days from the adoption of this resolution, by having said buildings
<br />razed or removed; and if said buildings are not so abated by said owners,the Building Inspector of
<br />the City of Redwood City is hereby ordered and directed to raze or remove said buildings; and that

<br />the expenses thereof be made a lien on the lot or parcel of land from which said buildings or struc-
<br />tures are removed, and which is hereinabove described.
<br />Passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Redwood City at a regular meeting thereof;
