<br />in such a condition that it should be razed. Councilman Swift offered resolution and moved adoption,.,
<br />seconded by Councilman Morgan and carried. Councilman Hol miquist noted absent.

<br />DECLARING PREMISES AT 932 PENNSYLVANIE AVENUE A NUISANCE AND
<br />OFFERING THEIR ABATEMENT WITHIN THIRTY DAYS
<br />WHEREAS, L. Nd. DUNOP4,the Building Inspector of the City of Redwood City, did, as required by
<br />Ordinance No.. 303, post a notice to abate nuisance uponrthe real property situated in said City, County
<br />pf San Mateo, State of California, and particularly described as follows:
<br />932 Pennsylvania Avenue, portion of Lots 2 & 3,
<br />Block 79, Eastern Addition;
<br />and did send.a copy of said notice so posted, by registered mail, postage prepaid, to the owners of
<br />said property, as said owners_ are listed upon the books of the City Assessor of said City of Redwood
<br />City, to -wit: Ferris Miles, 1101 Main Street, Redwood City,Califorhia; and
<br />WHEREAS in and by said notice to abate nuisance, said Building Inspector of the City of Redwood
<br />City did fix Monday, August 15, 1949, at the hour of 8:00 o'clock p.m. of said day at the Council
<br />Chamber in the City Hall on Middlefield Road in said City of Redwood City, as the -time and place when
<br />thw owners of the buildings situated upon said real property could appear and be heard and show cause
<br />why said buildings should not be condemned as a public nuisance and abated by reconstructing or prop-
<br />erly repairing said buildings or by razing or removing the same; and
<br />WHER.EM said Council did regularly continue said hearing until .the 6th day of September, 1949,
<br />at 8:00 ofclock p.m.; and
<br />WHEREAS said Council did proceed on the 6th day of September, 1949, with said hearing, and after
<br />considering all objections made. and received does determine that due and legal notice of said hearing
<br />was given as required by the ordinances of the City of Redwood City, as appears from the affidavit of
<br />L. M. DUNCAN on file in the office of the City Clerk;.
<br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by theCouncil does hereby declare, that the buildings or structures
<br />situated upon the real property hereinabove described are a public nuisance, and does hereby direct the
<br />owners thereof to abate said nuisance within thirty (30) days from the adoption of this resolution, by
<br />having said buildings razed or'removed, and if said buildings are not so abated by said owners, the
<br />Building Inspector of the City of Redwood City is hereby ordered and directed to raze or remove said
<br />buildings, and that the expenses thereof be made a lien on the, lbt or parcel of land from which said
<br />buildings or structures are removed, and which is hereinabove described.
<br />Passed and adopted by thepouncil of the City of `redwood City at a regular meeting thereof,
<br />held on the 6th day of September, 1949, by the following vote:
<br />AYES, and in favor of the passage and adoption of the foregoing resolution; Councilmen:
