Councilman Granger moved that the Park and Recreation <br />Commission submit program for upkeep of cemetery for the coming year, seconded by Councilman Morgan <br />and carried. Administrative Assistant Miller stated that in connection with Union Cemetery a letter <br />had been mitten to the State that $1500 would be sufficient to clean up for maintenance of Memorial <br />Day observance but that the City hoped they would appropriate $3000 so that this could be done on a <br />year round basis. Councilman Granger was of the opinion that the City could cooperate a little more. <br />Councilman Grgnger moved that a report be presented to the Council of program for Union Cemetery by <br />the Park Superintendent, seconded by Councilman Morgan and carried. <br />RESOLUTION N0. 780 <br />AUTHORIZING CITY,MANAGER TO EXECUTE AN AGREEMENT WITH THE STATE OF <br />• CALIFORNIA REGARDING UNION CEMETERY <br />RESOBVED, by the Council of the City of Redwood City, that the City Manager of said City be, <br />and he hereby is, authorized to enter into an agreement with the State of California regarding main- <br />tenance of Union Cemetery, said agreement to be in the form furnished by the State of California: <br />Passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Redwood City at a regular meeting threof, <br />held on the 19th day of September, 1949, by the following vote: <br />AYES, and in favor of the passage and adoption of the foregoing resolution, Councilmen: <br />BRITSCHGI, GRANGER, HOLMQUIST, MORGAN,SPILLERS, SWIFT and WERDER. <br />NOES, Councilmen: NONE. <br />ABSEMT,Councilmen: NONE. <br />ATTEST: <br />RALPH S. Tribune, although Mayor Werder <br />apologized for their inconvenience in turning out for the meeting .and explained that the date had been <br />set forward by one week for the hearing on Resolution of Preliminary Determination to an adjourned <br />meeting of September 26th instead of the regular meeting on October 3rd. <br />RESOLUTION 781 AUTHORIZNG TRANSFER OF FUNDS FROM EQUIPMENT REPLACEMENT FUND TO GENERAJFUND. Councilman <br />Britschgi offered resolution and moved adoption, seconded by Councilman Morgan, and carried on roll call. <br />RESOLUTION _NO.781 <br />• RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING FUNDS Fid M EQUIPMENT REPLACEMENT FUND TO <br />GENERAL"TUND <br />RESOLVED by the Council of the City of RedwoodCity that all of the unexpended balance remaining <br />in the Equipment Replacement Fund be and it hereby is ordered transferred from said fund to the <br />General Fund. <br />FURTHER RESOLVED that the amount transferred from the aforementioned Equipment Replacement Fund <br />to the General Fund shall be replaced immediately in said Equipment Replacement Fund out of the first <br />tax monies received for the fiscal year 1949-50, and in any event said funds so transferred shall be <br />replaced not later than December 15, 1949. <br />Passed and adopted_ by the Council of the City of Redwood City at a regular meeting thereof, <br />held on the 19th day of September, 1949, by the following vote: <br />AYES, and in favor of the passage and adoption of the foregoing resolution, Councilmen: <br />
