<br />APPROVAL OF MINUTES AS MAILED. Minutes of the regular meeting of September 19th and the Adjourned meeting

<br />of September 26th were approved as mailed on motion of Councilman Britsbhgi, seconded by Councilman

<br />POLICE CHIEF STANLEY WOOD RECEIVEDOATH OF OFFICE ADMINISTERED BY JUDGEP..MCAULIFFE. Mayor Warder congratulated
<br />Chief Wood, wished him success on behalf of the Council who were allbehind him,, and thanked Judge Mc
<br />Auliffe for administering the oath. ChiefWood acknowledged appreciation for the Mayor's wishes and
<br />stated he would do his best.
<br />RESTAURANT APPLICATION. MRS. LOUIS BORIS,. 2219 BROADWAY, KNOWN AS "AVENUE RESTAURANT", having been approved

<br />by the Health, Building, Fire and Police Departments was granted a permit on motion of Councilman

<br />Spillers, seconded by Councilman Britschgi andcarried.

<br />KENSINGTON SQUARE- RIGHT OF WAY ACQUISITION. City Engineer Jain supplemented report of April .l, 1949 making

<br />recommendations as to maximum amounts to be paid for parcels for widening of Alameda de las Pulgas
<br />and 4dfferson Avenue, and recommended that the following parcels be approved. Figures were based on
<br />i
<br />estimated value of property.
