344 .RESOLUTION N0. 803 <br />RESOLUTION FIXING MINIMUM WAGE SCALE - LENOLT <br />WHEREAS the City Engineer of the City of Redwood City has ascertained the general prevailing rate <br />of per diem wages in the locality in which said public work is proposed to be performed for work of a <br />similar character to that described in Resolution of intention No -799.9 adopted October 31, 1949 by the <br />City Council of the City of nedwoodCity; and <br />IVHEREAS said rate of per diem w ages is set forth and contained in the specifications for said proj- <br />ect, copies of which are on file in the office of said City ''engineer and also in the office of the City <br />Clerk of saidCity; and <br />WHEREAS the City Council of Redwood City has duly considered said scale and finds the same to be j. <br />correct in all particulars; <br />NOV, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Redwood City as follows: <br />1. That said wage scale as set forth in the specifications for above-mentioned project is hereby <br />adopted as the prevailing rate of per diem wages for work of a similar character to that above described <br />in the locality in which said public work is proposed to be performed. <br />-,posed 2. Assistant Fire�hief Leslie reported that he had talked to Mr.Turner in charge <br />of water in Friendly Acres. A parti4yshipment of 8 out of 20 had been received and were in the ware- <br />house ready to go in as, -soon as shut-off valves were received from Sacramento. City Engineer thought more <br />information would be available in a day or two after contact with Mr.Henry and this could be reported a t <br />nest meeting. Councilman Spillers moved this be placed on agenda until next meeting, seconded by Council- <br />man Bnitschgi and carried. <br />ORDINANCE INTRODUCED CHANGING LIGUORI STREET TO MARSHALL by Councilman Britschgi, seconded by Councilman <br />Holmquist and carried. <br />BROADWAY N0. 3. City Engineer stated Frost and Brian were working on the plans and specifications to be <br />ready for spring. Mr. Jain had told them thr/City should have the plans by January 1st and thought the <br />Council should so notify them. Councilman Holmquist moved that Frost & Brian be notified that the City <br />expected the plans and specifications by the first of the year, seconded by Councilman Spilleri/and�i <br />carried. <br />ORDINANCE INTRODUCED ON PEDDLER410ENSE by Councilman Britschgi, seconded by Councilman Spillers. This in - <br />eluded a change made in the ordinance of "City Clerk" to "City Collector". <br />LICENSE FEES, DISABLED VETERANS should meet all requirements of Peddlers License, City Collector could demand <br />whatever reasonable proof he might desire. City Attorney would furnish the Cit0ollector a copy of letter <br />for his information. CityCollector had right to include statement from a doctor letter would give him <br />G <br />
