City Attorney Currie
stated if an appeal is taken notices should be sent by postal card to each property
-`` owner within 300 ft. radius from the boundary of any part of the property. Motion
carried.
MR. GORDON SEELY' , 829 CANYON ROAD, STATED SEVERAL HOMES IN THIS AREA HAD BEEN FLOOEDED,
i
water having run through the house proper and asked for the people in this area. Part
of the water ran off County territory but the County did not feel that this was their
responsibility. While City Engineer Jain was aware of the condition and had had
jseveral meetings with the County Engineer, stated that the City was now taking care of
all the water that flowed onto Jefferson Avenue, but did not think it was the City's
responsibility to take care of drainage for the property owners on their own property.
Discussion followed. Mr. Seely was willing to have drainage ditch dug across his
property for temporary relief of others, but next year intended to fill in and plant
E trees which would increase problem of others whose property was on lower level. It
was thought an assessment district could be formed by the people in this area•snd the
problem taken care of in that way. Actually this condition was the fault of the sub-
divider. Mr. Seely was willing to give the City and easement across his property includ-
ing Lots 1, 2, and 3, for the purpose of drainage. Councilman Granger moved that the
F Engineering Department give some temporary consideration to relief and report back on
the cost of the ditch for 200 or 300 ft., seconded by Councilman Britschgi and carried.
U
f RALPH CASE, chairman, PARK AND RECREATION COMMISSION SUBMITTED REPORT THAT PROJECTS UNDER
THE 1914 BOND FUNDS which were requested from the Council were now completed with the
exception of the Swimming Pool which was now under way.
