Councilman Morgan noted absent. <br />RESOLUTION No. 619 <br />AUTHORIZING SIGNATURES TO WARRANTS. <br />RESOLVED, by the Council of the City of Redwood City, that until further notice <br />of this Council, all warrants of the City of Redwood City shall be signed by the City <br />Manager and the City Clerk. DODGE <br />Clerk of the City of Redwood City <br />COUNCILMAN GRANGER WISHED TO HAVE AUDITOR'S REPORT PLACED ON THE AGENDA FOR THE NEXT <br />MEETING, and some recommendation as to whether or not the Auditor's recommendations <br />p should be carried out. <br />COUNCILMAN GRANGER STATED THAT ALMOST A YEAR AGO THE REAL ESTATE COMMITTEE WAS TO PREPARE <br />AN OVERALL PICTURE of City and a survey was to be made including procedure necessary <br />to get some of the tax deeded property on the market. City Collector Perrin re- <br />ported that a great deal of time had been spent on this and that a number of lots <br />had been sold as a result of the committee's work; that the information had been <br />compiled and submitted to City Attorney Currie and Mr. MacArthur, County Tax Col- 4�1 <br />lector. Mr. MacArthur still had a list of all delinquent lots. <br />COUNCILMAN GRANGER STATED THAT SOME TIME AGO DISCUSSION TOOK PLACE ON AMUSEMENT LICENSES <br />and the only thing that was holding this'up was the question of fees, and he thought <br />this should be placed on the agenda and the Council should decide what the fee <br />should be, as the general opinion seemed to be that something could be done. Mayor <br />Werder suggested that some recommendation of the committee be given to the proper <br />authorities in the City and brought tot the Council members. <br />COUNCILMAN GRANGER OBJECTED TO MISREPRESENTATION OF SUPERINTENDENT OF PARKS BY AN ARTICLE <br />IN THE TRIBUNE. As Mr. Balzarini was present Councilman Granger thought he should <br />have the opportunity to refute the contents of the article written by Mr. Sprunger. <br />Mayor Werder interceded at this point and felt that this was not necessary as every- _. <br />one was aware that Mr. Balzarini was performing his job properly, including the ° <br />public in general. <br />COUNCILMAN HOLMQUIST WISHED TO KNOW WHAT HAPPENED TO THE TRAFFIC DIVISION THAT WAS SET <br />UP. City Manager Rolison stated they had been ready since June, that this division <br />had been approved by the Traffic & Safety Commission. Mayor Werder thought there <br />was`a question of power and usurping of power by this committee and Traffic Detail, <br />but the Council had approved this committee and thought they should go ahead. City <br />Manager Rolison stated he understood that the Traffic Division was to be financed <br />out of the Parking Meter Fund and the Council approved this. Councilman Granger <br />differed on this point. Administrative Assistant Richard Miller stated that $3000 <br />was approved tentatively, but that inasmuch as three months had already passed,. <br />without the plan in operation, it was thought approximately $,2200 would cover the <br />
