Councilman Granger stated he was not 39 <br />opposing the Traffic Division plan but he was of the opinion that the funds for its <br />operation should be partly derived from the General Fund, and only that portion from <br />the Parking Meter Fund to cover the actual proportion of the program directly charge- <br />able to parking problems. <br />COUNOIL14AN BRITSCHGI COMMENTED ON MATTERS OF ACCUMULATED OVERTIME, difference in arriving <br />at compensatory time off in different departments, and was informed by Administrative <br />Assistant Miller that a meeting was scheduled for Thursday evening, October 7th, <br />when the entire subject would be studied by the Department heads and the .Personnel <br />Board. <br />0 <br />RESOLUTION No. 620. CITY ATTORNEY CURRIE STATED the Building Inspector would need some <br />funds to cover the conference in Sacramento. Councilman Spillers offered and moved <br />adoption of resolution transferring the sum of $50.00 from Unbudgeted Reserve to <br />Building Inspector's Supplies and Services Account, seconded by Councilman Swift, and <br />carried on roll call. Councilman Morgan noted absent. <br />R E 8 0 L U T I ON No 620 <br />TRANSFERRING THE SUM OF $50.00 FROM UNBUDGETED RESERVE TO BUILDING INSPECTOR'S <br />SUPPLIES AND SERVICES ACCOUNT. <br />RESOLVED, by the Council of the City of Redwood City, that the,sum of $50.00 be <br />and is hereby ordered transferred from the Unbudgeted Reserve account to the Building <br />Inspector's Supplies and Services Account which amount is hereby appropriated to <br />said Building Inspector as advance expenses to cover Pacific.Coast Building Officials <br />Conference in Sacramento from October 11th to October 14th, 1945. <br />Passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Redwood City at a regular <br />meeting thereof held on the 4th day of October, 1945, by the following vote: <br />AYES; and in favor of the foregoing resolution, Councilmen: BRITSCHGI, <br />GRANGER, HOL14QUISTO SPILLERS, SWIFT, and Mayor WEEDER. <br />NOES, and against the adoption of the foregoing resolution, Councilmen: NONE <br />ABSENT, Councilmen: MORGAN <br />W. WEEDER <br />Mayor of the City of Redwood City <br />CLAIMS Nos. 4454 to 4546 inclusive in the amount of $15,029.57 was approved for payment <br />on motion of Councilman Swift, seconded by Councilman Spillers, and carried. <br />CITY ENGINEER STATED THE ESTIMATE FOR PAVING THE PERRY PARKING LOT for material and labor <br />was $1725. About half of this was for material. If the work was to be done immed- <br />iately it would cost about 35¢ more per ton to get the oil delivered and $230 more <br />would be needed for this. Sidewalk should be done first. City Manager Rolison <br />i <br />j stated the parking meter representative was in his office and would send the con - <br />7 - <br />tract which he had intended to submit for the Council's approval at this meeting. <br />Parking meters to be installed would be two hours for a nickel. Councilman Granger <br />4 <br />moved that the City Manager be authorized to sign contract, seconded by Councilman <br />Britschgi, and carried. <br />
