Chief Wood <br />reported that volume count indicated they were needed until 9:00 P.M., especially on <br />Saturday night. <br />COUNCILMAN GRANGER INQUIRED ABOUT RENTAL OF PROPERTY ON HARBOR BOULEVARD OWNED BY THE CITY. <br />Rent had been paid through December. Placed on agenda, City Manager Rolison to report <br />on ways and means of vacating the property. Britschgi, Floyd D. Granger, <br />H. E. Holmquist, Albert H. Morgan, Jr., Robt. V. Spillers, A. V. Swift, Mayor W. M. <br />Werder, and City Clerk Ralph S. Dodge. Also present were: City Collector P. E. <br />Perrin, Fire Chief J. L. Lodi, City Engineer Glenn M. Jain, Water Superintendent <br />H. L. Winter, Administrative Assistant Richard D. Miller, Building Inspector <br />Stephen Kreiss, Police Chief Stanley Wood, Auditor -Assessor John J. Brophy, City <br />Manager E. A. Rolison, City Attorney C. B. Currie. . <br />APPROVAL OF MINUTES AS IrIAILED. Minutes of the regular meeting of January 3rd were <br />approved on motion of Councilman Morgan, seconded by Councilman Britschgi and carried. <br />LEAGUE OF CALIFORNIA CITIES, PENINSULA DIVISION, announced dinner meetin, Thursday, <br />January 19th, Vahl's Club, Alviso. All Councilmen expected to attend. <br />LEAGUE OF CALIFORNIA .CITIES,,PENINSULA DIVISION, asked for 05.00 remittance to be mailed <br />to Peninsula Division, 267 Park Road, Burlingame. The members voted to request this <br />contribution from each member city to replenish its Treasure and was in accordance <br />with the Articles of Association. Councilman Britschgi moved that payment be made, <br />seconded by Councilman Morgan and carried. Payment would be made from Miscellan- <br />eous Government Expenditures. <br />REDWOOD CITY ELEMENTARY SCHOOL DISTRICT, ANDREW SPINAS, SUPT., ASKED FOR PERMISSION TO <br />RUN A SEWER CONNECTION FROM THE PROPOSED SCHOOL BUILDING TO THE PRESENT SEWER ON <br />EATON AVENUE. City Engineer Jain had checked on this and reported a 6" sewer on <br />Eaton which was not considered adequate to handle the capacity that they will need. <br />It was suggested they contact the City of San Francisco through San Carlos. Per- <br />mission had been given for the hospital to go through and this added request would <br />overload the line. Councilman Granger moved this be placed on the agenda for a <br />report at the next meeting, City Engineer and City Manager to cooperate with the <br />school district in working out the problem, seconded by Councilman Spillers and <br />carried. <br />i <br />, <br />
