and moved for adoption by Councilman Granger, and seconded by Councilman Spillers 395 <br />and carried on roll call: <br />RES 0LUT,I0N No. 823. <br />RESOLUTION FIXING MINIMUM WAGE SCALE <br />I <br />LAUREL STREET <br />WHEREAS the City Engineer of the City of Rddwood City has ascertained the general <br />prevailing rate of per diem wages in the locality in which said public work is proposed <br />to be performed for work of a similar character to that described in Resolution of <br />Intention No. 819, adopted January 16, 1950, by the City Council of the City of Redwood <br />City; -and <br />WHEREAS said rate of per diem wages is set forth and contained in the specifica- <br />tions for said project, copies of which are on file in the office of said City Engineer <br />and also in the office of the City Clerk of said City; and <br />WHERAS the City Council of Redwood City has duly considered said scale and finds <br />the same to be correct in all particulars; <br />D <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Redwood City as <br />follows: <br />1. That said wage scale as set forth in the specifications for the above-mentioned <br />project is hereby adopted as the prevailing rate per diem wages for work of a similar <br />character to that above described in the locality in which said public work'is pro- <br />posed to be performed. _,.. <br />7 <br />2. That no less than said general prevailing rate of per diem wages shall be paid <br />for any work proposed to be performed under said Resolution of Intention No. 81�. <br />Passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Redwood City at a regular meet- <br />ing thereof, held on the 6th day of February, 1950, by the following voter <br />AYES, and in favor of the passage and adoption of the foregoing resolution, <br />Councilmen: BRITSCHGI, GRANGER, HOLMQUIST, MORGAN, SPILLERS, SWIFT, and Mayor WERDER. <br />_ NOES, <br />ABSENT, <br />ATTEST: <br />Councilmen: NONE <br />Councilmen: NONE <br />RALPH S. Motion carried on roll call. <br />R E S O L U T I O N No. 824. <br />RESOLUTION ORDERING IMPROVEMENTS AND CALLING FOR BIDS --LAUREL STREET <br />-WHEREAS the Council of the City of Redwood City did, on January 16, 1950, pass <br />and adopt Resolution of Intention No. 819 (Laurel Street) to order the_hereinafter <br />described work to be done and improvements to be made in said City,of Redwood City; <br />and <br />M <br />WHEREAS notices of the passage of said Resolution of Intention Ido. 819, headed <br />NOTICE OF IMPROVEMENT", were duly and regularly posted along the line of said contem- <br />plated work and improvements and in front of all the property liable to be assessed <br />therefor, and on all of the streets in the district to be assessed therefor, in the <br />time, form, manner and number as required by later, as appears from the affidavits of <br />Glenn M. Jain, Superintendent of Streets of the City of Redwood City, on file in the <br />office of the Clerk of said City; and <br />WHEREAS it appears from the affidavit of R. S. Dodge, City Clerk of the City of <br />Redwood City, that notices of the adoption of the said resolution were mailed to all <br />persons owning real property proposed to be assessed for said improvements, in the <br />time, form; and manner as required by law, which affidavit is on file with the Clerk <br />of said City of Redwood City; and <br />WHEREAS it appears from the affidavit of Lu Verne H. Hamlin that said Resolution <br />of Intention was duly and regularly published in the Redwood City Tribune, a newspaper <br />
