Councilman Britschgi moved introduction of ordinance, seconded by Councilman Morgan and.carried. REQUEST FOR TAX REFUND BY H. H. WEINER, owner of Lot 9, Block 11, Lenolt Tract. Mr. Weiner stated -in his letter of March 24th that this had been given to the City for use as a Playground through Recreation Director Alfred Morton. The lot was not accepted because of nieghorhood complaints as to its use, but Mr. Weiner thought the City had accepted it. While he was out of the City in 1945 the lot was sold for County Taxes. In the meantime he claimed he paid taxes from 1945 to 1949, but did,not know the County Taxes had not been paid and therefore asked for a refund of City taxes. City Collector reported taxes were delinquent from 1930 to 191.2-4.3 and were paid from proceeds received when the lot was sold by the County on August 20, 1946. 1947 and 1948 taxes were paid in the amount of $ il.67 and if paid by Mr. Weiner -he should have a receipt for this amount. Councilman Spillers moved that a refund be denied, seconded by Councilman Morgan. After discussion Councilman- Britschgi asked if the City Attornye was aware of facts, the maker then changed his motion with the consent of the second that this be placed on the agenda until next meeting and referred'to the proper authorites and that a letter be written to Mr. Weiner. Motion carried. REQUEST OF CALIFORNIA PACIFIC TITLE INSURANCE COMPANY ON RELEASE of 5 feet right-of-way or easement, Lot 17, Block 11, Map of Redwood Highlands, and Lot 18, Block 119 Map of Resubdivision of Dingee Park. This had been referred to the Planning Commission. The Title Company had written to City Engineer Jain on this and he.had replied that w there would be no need for easement unless sold off as lots. The property had been sold for use by the Sequoia Clinic. City Attorney Currie stated that P. G. & E. would agree to reconvey it. Councilman Morgan moved this be referred to City Attorney Currie to handle in accordance with above understanding, seconded by Councilman Spillers and carried. PROPOSED CHICKEN ORDINANCE. City Attorney Currie had prepared ordinance and copies would be sent to members of the Council. Councilman Britschgi moved this be placed on the agenda for the next meeting to be studied in the meantime, seconded by Councilman Morgan, and carried. EXTENSION OF HARDING AVENUE. Purchase of Lot 6, Block 4, Map of Jefferson Avenue was recommended in the amount of $200 by City Engineer Jain. The deed had been received from Genevieve C. Baird in favor of the City. The price met the appraised value quoted to the owner. Councilman Spillers moved approval of recommendation,.= City Clerk authorized to accept deed and City Auditor authorized to pay $200 for the lot, seconded by Councilman Holmquist, and carried. RESOLUTION No. 850-A RESOLUTION OF PRELIMINARY DETERMINATION, POPLAR, VIRGINIA and JUNIPERO i AVENUES IMPROVEMENTS. RESOLUTION No. 850-A RESOLUTION OF PRELIMINARY DETERMINATION POPLAR, VIRGINIA AND JUNIPERO AVENUES RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Redwood City, that it does hereby preliminarily determine that the public convenience and necessity require, and that
