46 .. <br />There is excepted from said District all streets and other public property <br />in use in the performance of a public function. <br />Notice is hereby given that serial bonds to represent the unpaid assessments <br />of $25.00 or over, bearing interest at the rate of six per cent (b/) per annum <br />will be issued pursuant to Article I -of Ordinance No. 333 of said City, entitled <br />"Redwood City Improvement Procedure Ordinance" adopted March 14, 1932, as amended, <br />the last installment of which bonds shall -mature nine (9) years from the 2nd day <br />of January next succeeding the 15th day of the next November following their date. <br />Notice is hereby given that Monday, the 17th day of April, 1950 at the hour <br />of eight o'clock P. M., at the Council Chamber in the City Hall of said City, is <br />hereby fixed as ,the time and place when and where any and all persons interested <br />may appear and show cause, if any they have, why the City Council should not find <br />and determine that the public convenience and necessity requires the improvements <br />described and referred to in this resolution, without further compliance with the <br />Special Assessment, Investigation, Limitation, and Majority Protest Act of 1931 <br />of the State of California now embodied in the Streets and Highways Code of Calif- <br />ornia as Division 4 thereof. <br />The City Clerk shall give notice of the adoption of this resolution by pub- <br />lishing a Notice of Proposed Local Improvement once in the Redwood City Tribune, <br />a daily newspaper published and circulated in said City, and by posting same on <br />or near the Council Chamber door of said Council, said posting and publication <br />to be made at least ten (10) days before the date of said hearing. <br />Passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Redwood City at a regular <br />meeting thereof, held on the 3rd day of April, 1950, by the following vote: <br />AYES, and in favor of the passage and adoption of the foregoing resolution, <br />Councilmen: BRITSCHGI, GRANGER, HOLDIQUIST, MORGAN, SPILLERS, SWIFT, and WERDER. <br />NOES, <br />ABSENT, <br />ATTEST: <br />Councilmen: NONE <br />Councilmen: NONE <br />RALPH S DODGE <br />Clerk of the City of Redwood City <br />W. WERDER <br />Mayor of the City of Redwood City <br />RESOLUTION No. 851 APPROVING ASSESSMENT DIAGRAM, STANLEY-WESTGATEL Councilman Holmquist <br />offered resolution and moved adoption, seconded by Councilman Spillers and carried <br />on roll call. <br />RESOLUTION No. 851 <br />APPROVING ASSESSMENT DIAGRAM <br />STANLEY-WESTGATE <br />WHEREAS the Council of the City of Redwood City did, on August l5s 1949, pass <br />and adopt a resolution, No. 760, ordering certain work and improvements, said work <br />and improvements being described and set out in Resolution of Intention No. W <br />of said Council, passed and adopted on July 18, 191+9, said resolutions both being <br />on file in the office of the Clerk of the City of Redwood City and to which resolu- <br />tions reference is hereby made for further particulars; and <br />WHEREAS said Resolution No. 760 directed the City Engineer of Redwood City <br />to make and sign the assess ments to be made for the work and'improvements to be <br />done under said Resolution of Intention No. 743; and <br />WHEREAS the City Engineer of the City of Redwood City has prepared and pre- <br />sented for the approval of the Council of the City of Redwood City a diagram of <br />the property affected or benefited by the work and improvements described in said <br />Resolution of Intention No. 743 and to be assessed to pay the expenses thereof, <br />said diagram showing each separate lot, piece or parcel of land and the dimensions <br />of each such lot, piece or parcel of land and the relative location of the same <br />to the work proposed to be done, all within the limits of the assessment district <br />set out in said Resolution of Intention No. 743; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT AND IT HEREBY IS RESOLVED that the diagram presented by <br />the City Engineer for approval, as said diagram is hereinbefore described, bey <br />and it hereby is, approved; <br />FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Clerk of the City of Redwood City be and he.hereby <br />is directed to certify to the date of said diagram's approval. <br />T. <br />
