n r hereby are, authorized and directed to execute a deed, pursuant to the statute in 465 such case made and provided, to the State of California conveying all of the City of Redwood City's right, title and interest in the property hereinafter described, which the City of Redwood City obtained by deed executed on October 26, 1945, under the provisions of Section 380.4 of the -Revenue and Taxation Code, and recorded in Volume 1215 of Official Records, page 193, Records of San Mateo County. 2. That the real property hereinbefore mentioned is more particularly described as follows: All that real property situated in the City of Redwood City, County of San Mateo, -State of California, as follows: Lots 9. 12, 26, 29, in Block 1, Lot 14 in Block 2, Lot 4 in Block 3, and Lots 10, 12, 19, 22, 24 in Block 4, all in the JEFFERSON AVENUE ADDITION. Passed and 'adopted by the Council of the City of Redwood City at a regular meeting thereof, held on the 3rd day of April, 1950, by the following vote: AYES, and in favor of the passage and adoption of the foregoing resolution, Councilmen: BRITSCHGI, GRANGER, HOLMQUIST, MORGAN, SPILLERS, SWIFT, and WERDER. WERDER Mayor of the City of Redwood City AMENDAMENT TO ORDINANCE No. 333 was suggested by City Attorney Currie in order to extend Bond term to 15 years under the 1911 Act. As the ordinance stands it is limited to 10 years. Councilman Holmquist moved introduction of amendment of ordinance, seconded by Councilman Spillers, and carried. REMOVAL OF TREES FROM STATE HIGHWAY. Coucilman Granger asked about a report on this. City Attorney Currie had not had an opportunity to check Ordinance No. 153 on Trees to find out whether or not it provided a penalty for removing trees without permis- sion. City Attorney Currie to report at the next meeting. PARKING METERS ON FRINGE AREA NOT BEING USED. Councilman Granger suggested these meters be changed from 1 hour parking to 2 hours to induce motorists to use them and re- lieve some of the traffic congestion closer to business area. City Collector Perrin stated some meters were very poor paying and that a complete record was kept on each meter and he would report back at the next meeting. SPECIAL POLICEMEN AT SCHOOL CROSSINGS. Councilman Granger asked if men had been put on this assignment. Chief Wood informed the Council one was at Washington School and one at John Gill School, both were working well and were paid 017.50 per week. MORE POLICE PATROL FROM MIDNIGHT ON was suggested by Councilman Spillers to be considered at budget time. One car was on from midnight to 4 A. M. and one car and one motor- cycle from 4 to 8 A. IA. PERMITS FOR BUSINESS AND RESTAURANT were thought to be submitted to Council by Councilman Spillers, but he had not seen the applications approved by the four departments. This had been brought up by him one year and four months previous. City Collector Perrin stated according to the ordinance applications for restaurant license must be submitted to the Council and opening of business, after that they were renewed quarterly running from 30 to 50 renewals a quarter.
