Said Council does hereby adopt and establish as the official grades for said work the grades as shown on the plans, profiles and specifications made therefor and hereinbefore referred to. The total'estimated cost of said improvements as determined by the City Engineer of Redwood City, California, is the sum of $27;288.59- Said contemplated work and improvements, in the opinion of said City Council, is of more than local or ordinary public benefit and said Council does hereby make the cost and expenses of doing such work and improvements chargeable upon a district, which district said Council declares to be the district benefited by said work and .improvements and to be assessed to pay the entire cost and expense thereof and which said district is wholly within the limits of said City of Redwood City, State of California, and is described as follows: BEGINNING at the Southeast corner of Lot 16, Block 3 of Portola Addition;, thence S 44° 25' W along the Southeasterly line 1028.88 feet to the South- westerly corner of Lot 52, Block 3 of said Portola Addition; THENCE N 450 301 W along the Southwesterly line of said Portola Addition, 261.06 feet to the north- west corner of Lot 12, Block 1 of said Addition; THENCE N W 251 E along the rear of Lots 12 to 17 inclusive of said block 150.00 feet to the Southwest corner of Lot 5 of said block; THENCE N 450 30+ W along the Southwest line of Lot 5 of said block, extended, 130.00 feet to the center of Redwood Avenue, 60 feet in width; THENCE N 440 �5' E along said center line 242.7 feet to an angle point in same; THENCE continuing along said center line N 260 27,1 E, 226.45 feet to a point opposite the center of Lot 20, 25.60 feet wide, Block 9 of West Redwood; THENCE N 450 301 W along the center of said lot and rear of lot fronting on Junipero Avenue 251.07 feet to a point in line 3.965 feet Northwesterly from the Northwest corner of Lot 13 of said block; THENCE parallel to and .965 feet from the Northwest line of Lot 13 of said block, N 440 301 E 154.25 feet to the center of Junipero Avenue 60.00 feet in width; THENCE N 450 301 W along said center line of Junipero Avenue 8.82 feet to a point opposite a line -parallel to and 5.535 feet Northwesterly from the North- west line of Lot 23 Block 10 of West Redwood; THENCE N 440 30+ E along afore- said line 123.85 feet to the rear of Lot 24 of said block; THENCE S 45o 30' E along the rear 5.535 feet of Lot 24 and all of Lot 23, 25.00 feet in width; and along a line midway through Lot 18, 25.00 feet in width, all of Block 10, West Redwood, across Redwood Avenue, 60.00 feet in width, and across a portion of Lot 45 of Reese Subdivision for a distance of 100.00 feet, parallel to and 18.84 feet from the Northeast line of Lot 1, Block 3, Portola Addition, making in all a distance of 300.00 feet raore or less; THENCE S 440 25' W along a line 18.84 feet to the said Northeast line of said Addition; THENCE S 450 301 E along the Northeast line of said Addition 417.04 feet to the point of beginning. There is excepted from said district all streets and other public property used in the performance of a public function. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, and said Council of said City does determine, that serial bonds to represent the unpaid assessments of $25.00 or over, bearing interest at the rate of six per cent (6%) per annum will be issued pursuant to Article I of Ordinance No. 333 of said City, entitled "Redwood City Improvement Procedural Ordinance", adopted March 14, 1932, as amended, the last installment of which bonds shall mature nine (9) years from the 2nd day of January next succeeding the 1�th day of the next November following their date. Reference is hereby made to the resolution of said Council determining to make said improvements without compliance with the Special Assessment, Investigation, Limitation and Majority Protest Act of 1931, being Resolution No. 856 on file in the office of the City Clerk of said City. All work provided for herein shall be done as provided in Article I of said Ordinance No. 333, as amended. NOTICE IS HEREBY FURTHER GIVEN that Monday, the 15th day of May, 1950, at the hour of 8:00 P. M. of said day, at the Council Chamber of said Council of said City, in the City Hall on Middlefield Road in said City, has been and is hereby fixed as the day, hour and place when and where any and all persons having any objections to the proposed work and improvements described herein, or to the grade to which said work and improvements are to be done,and made, or to the district proposed to be assessed for said tiviork and improvements, may appear before said Council of said City and show cause why said proposed work and improvements should not be carried out and done in accordance with this resolution of intention, or why said work and improvements should not be carried out and done at the grades as shown on the plans, profiles, and detailed drawings referred to herein, and for hearing any protests in relation to said proposed improvement. The Redwood City Tribune, a daily (except Sunday) newspaper, published, printed and circulated in said City of Redwood City, is hereby designated by the Council of said City as the newspaper in which to publish this Resolution of Intention as required by law, and the Clerk of said City of Redwood City is hereby ordered and directed to cause this Resolution of Intention to be published in said newspaper twice, as required by law.
