I�i <br />lil <br />i <br />manner, of the sizes, of the materials, and to the lines, grades and <br />shown on the plans, profiles and specifications made therefor, and on <br />office of the City Engineer of the City of Redwood City, and the same <br />hereof by reference thereto. <br />elevations as 473 <br />file in the <br />are made a part <br />Whenever any public way is referred -to as running between two public ways, or <br />from or to any public way, the intersections of the public ways referred to are included <br />to the extent that work shall be done therein pursuant to the plans and specifications <br />hereinbefore referred to. <br />Said Council does hereby adopt and establish as the official grades for said <br />work the grades as shown on the plans, profiles and specifications made therefor and <br />hereinbefore referred to. <br />The total'estimated cost of said improvements as determined by the City Engineer <br />of Redwood City, California, is the sum of $27;288.59- <br />Said contemplated work and improvements, in the opinion of said City Council, is <br />of more than local or ordinary public benefit and said Council does hereby make the <br />cost and expenses of doing such work and improvements chargeable upon a district, <br />which district said Council declares to be the district benefited by said work and <br />.improvements and to be assessed to pay the entire cost and expense thereof and which <br />said district is wholly within the limits of said City of Redwood City, State of <br />California, and is described as follows: <br />BEGINNING at the Southeast corner of Lot 16, Block 3 of Portola Addition;, <br />thence S 44° 25' W along the Southeasterly line 1028.88 feet to the South- <br />westerly corner of Lot 52, Block 3 of said Portola Addition; THENCE N 450 301 W <br />along the Southwesterly line of said Portola Addition, 261.06 feet to the north- <br />west corner of Lot 12, Block 1 of said Addition; THENCE N W 251 E along the <br />rear of Lots 12 to 17 inclusive of said block 150.00 feet to the Southwest <br />corner of Lot 5 of said block; THENCE N 450 30+ W along the Southwest line of <br />Lot 5 of said block, extended, 130.00 feet to the center of Redwood Avenue, <br />60 feet in width; THENCE N 440 �5' E along said center line 242.7 feet to an <br />angle point in same; THENCE S 440 25' W along a line <br />18.84 feet to the said Northeast line of said Addition; THENCE S 450 301 E <br />along the Northeast line of said Addition 417.04 feet to the point of beginning. <br />There is excepted from said district all streets and other public property used in <br />the performance of a public function. <br />NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, and said Council of said City does determine, that <br />serial bonds to represent the unpaid assessments of $25.00 or over, bearing interest <br />at the rate of six per cent (6%) per annum will be issued pursuant to Article I <br />of Ordinance No. 333 of said City, entitled "Redwood City Improvement Procedural <br />Ordinance", adopted March 14, 1932, as amended, the last installment of which bonds <br />shall mature nine (9) years from the 2nd day of January next succeeding the 1�th <br />day of the next November following their date. <br />Reference is hereby made to the resolution of said Council determining to make <br />said improvements without compliance with the Special Assessment, Investigation, <br />Limitation and Majority Protest Act of 1931, being Resolution No. 856 on file in <br />the office of the City Clerk of said City. <br />All work provided for herein shall be done as provided in Article I of said <br />Ordinance No. 333, as amended. <br />NOTICE IS HEREBY FURTHER GIVEN that Monday, the 15th day of May, 1950, at the <br />hour of 8:00 P. M. of said day, at the Council Chamber of said Council of said City, <br />in the City Hall on Middlefield Road in said City, has been and is hereby fixed as <br />the day, hour and place when and where any and all persons having any objections <br />to the proposed work and improvements described herein, or to the grade to which <br />said work and improvements are to be done,and made, or to the district proposed to <br />be assessed for said tiviork and improvements, may appear before said Council of said <br />City and show cause why said proposed work and improvements should not be carried <br />out and done in accordance with this resolution of intention, or why said work and <br />improvements should not be carried out and done at the grades as shown on the plans, <br />profiles, and detailed drawings referred to herein, and for hearing any protests in <br />relation to said proposed improvement. <br />The Redwood City Tribune, a daily (except Sunday) newspaper, published, printed <br />and circulated in said City of Redwood City, is hereby designated by the Council of <br />said City as the newspaper in which to publish this Resolution of Intention as <br />required by law, and the Clerk of said City of Redwood City is hereby ordered and <br />directed to cause this Resolution of Intention to be published in said newspaper <br />twice, as required by law. <br />
