Affidavit <br />of publication ordered filed by Mayor Britschgi. <br />ORDINANCE No. 640 AMENDING <br />333 EXTENDING BOND PERIOD FROM 10 to 15 YEARS was <br />moved for adoption by Councilman Werder, seconded by Councilman Holmquist and <br />carried on roll call. <br />RESOLUTION No. 859. PLANNING COMMISSION RECOMMENDED VARIANCE IN SIDE LINE SETBACK from <br />5 feet to 4 feet on Lot 10 Block 9, Redwood Highlands (2943) Broadway, Dr. August <br />Fromm's property. The Planning Commission held a public hearing and there were <br />no protests. Councilman Werder offered a resolution approving recommendation, <br />and moved adoption, seconded by Councilman Spillers. Attorney Menefee explained <br />upon question, that this was at the east end of the building toward the church <br />in order to add one more small room. All agreed upon the setback line. Resolu- <br />tion carried on roll call. <br />RESOLUTION No. 859 <br />GRANTING VARIANCE LOT 1, BLOCK 91 REDWOOD HIGHLANDS, REDWOOD CITY. <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 35-50 of the Planning Commission of <br />Redwood City, said Commission recommended the granting of a variance to Dr. August <br />Fromm on Lot 1, Block 9, Redwood Highlands, to allow construction of a building to <br />the property line and for elimination of the five (5) foot side yard requirement; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED as follows: <br />1. That the variance recommended by the Board of Adjustments of the Planning <br />Commission of Redwood City, California, with respect to Lot 1, Block 9, Redwood <br />Highlands, be and the same is hereby granted in accordance with the conditions <br />stated in said Resolution No. 35-50 of the Planning Commission of Redwood City. <br />Passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Redwood City at a regular <br />meeting thereof, held on the 17th day of April, 1950, by the following vote: <br />AYES, and in favor of the passage and adoption of the foregoing resolution, <br />Councilmen: BRITSCHGI, GRANGER, HOLMQUIST; MORGAN, ROYER, SPILLERS, and WERDER. <br />NOES, Councilmen: NONE <br />ABSENT, <br />ATTEST: <br />Councilmen: NONE <br />RALPH S.
