50 draft an ordinance covering the situation, seconded by Councilman Spillers. After <br />discussion the motion was withdrawn with the consent of Councilman Spillers, and <br />Councilman Morgan moved that City Attorney Currie bring in further report before <br />drafting -ordinance, seconded by Councilman Spillers, and carried. <br />LOYALTY CLAUSE. Councilman Granger moved that City Attorney Currie draft an ordinance on <br />Loyalty Clause and that this be placed on the agenda, seconded by Councilman Morgan. <br />Councilman Morgan_ stated that the City of Los Angeles had one that was.very workable. <br />Motion carried. <br />COUNCILMAN GRANGER INQUIRED OF CITY 14ANAGER ROLISON ABOUT THE SIREN AT THE FIRE HOUSE. <br />City Manager Rolison was to discuss the matter with the P.G.& E. in an effort to <br />expedite that service.Fire Chief Lodi stated the job had been laid out. Chief Lodi <br />was to contact P.G.& E. for three phase service. <br />COUNCILMAN BRITSCHGI BROUGHT TO THE ATTENTION OF THE CHIEF OF POLICE the fact that trucks <br />were parking in front of the Purity Store on Arguello and across the intersection. <br />City Collector Perrin stated that two parking meters had been lost on that corner <br />and they had tried to find out who was responsible. Police Chief Collins was to <br />take care of this matter. <br />COUNCILMAN HOLMQUIST CALLED ATTENTION TO THE CONDITION OF THE STREET ON PULGAS LINE <br />SLIER PROJECT. City Engineer Jain said there were complaints on the condition of <br />this street, and that according to the contract the street should be kept clean for <br />the convenience of the public, and that action on the part of the,Council would help. <br />Councilman Holmquist moved that the contractor be instructed to keep the street clean <br />and this applied to all other contracts, seconded by Councilman Morgan. Motion <br />carried. <br />COUNCILMAN SPILLERS ASKED HOW MANY DAYS A MONTH A MOTORCYCLE OFFICER SHOULD BE ON DUTY <br />TO RECEIVE $10.00. Auditor Brophy explained that Motarcycle Officers received <br />$10.00 per month based on the decision of the Personnel Board. Three men were <br />riding regularly. Arangements were made with Lt. Wood- for others. After discussion <br />-Councilman Granger moved that those riding as motorcycle detail receive 010.00 per <br />month and those substituting for vacations, etc., should receive $1.00 for three <br />days, or prorata salary of $10.00 for -a 30 day month, which would be 33-1/3¢ per <br />day. Motion seconded by Councilman Spillers, and carried. <br />AUDITOR BROPHY STATED THAT MONEY HAD BEEN RECEIVED FROM THE STATE FOR THE UNION CEMETERY <br />IN THE AMOUNT OF $478.50. He thought this would go into the General Fund and would <br />like authority to pay a bill of $160.00 covering weed control. $125 per month was <br />to be received thereafter. City Attorney Currie advised that a special fund should <br />be up for cemetery purposes only, and Councilman Granger so moved, seconded by Coun- <br />cilman Morgan. Motion carried. <br />CLAIMS Nos. 45+6 to 4690 inclusive in the amount of $121,502.29 were approved for pay- <br />ment on motion of Councilman Spillers, seconded by Councilman Britschgi, and carried. <br />Adjournment. <br />A, � <br />RALPH S.
