Motion carried. <br />RESOLUTION No. 60g, SETTING SEWER RENTAL RATES. Councilman Morgan offered resolution and <br />moved adoption, seconded by Councilman.Holmquist. City Clerk Dodge read communica- <br />tion from Mrs. Jessie Kennedy, 633 Topaz Street, requesting information regarding <br />sewer bonds, sewer rentals, etc. City Manager Rolison explained in detail the method <br />of arriving at the rates covered in the resolution stating that a complete study was <br />made of sewer rental programs in other cities and stating further that it was thot <br />that the rental basis would be the best, and a more satisfactory plan of'paying off <br />the sewer bonds and the maintenance and operating of the Sewage Treatment Plant, <br />rather than raising the required amounts of money by adding to the tax rate. A Mrs. <br />F Lawrence spoke from the floor voicing her objections to the plan. After more dis- <br />cussion the resolution was adopted on roll call.
