City Attorney Currie stated if .property was not contiguous this would necessitate separate pro- ceedings. Councilman Spillers offered resolution and moved adoption that proceedings i be started on this and a public hearing be held the first meeting in January, seconded 0 J1 I by Councilman Britschgi, and carried on roll call. Mr. Klang wished some assurance that the intent of the Council with regard to the annexation proceedings would be in favor of making this commercial. City Attorney Currie stated that the petition for annexation was definitely unconditional, and the records should so show. RESOLUTION No, 636 RESOLUTION GIVING -NOTICE OF PROPOSED ANNEXATION OF KLANG PROPERTY WHEREAS, proceedings for the annexation to the City of Redwood City of -the territory hereinafter described have been commenced by A. KLAND filing a petition for annexation; and WHEREAS, the area proposed to be,annexed is described as follows: Lots 1, '29 3, 41 5, 6, 7, and S`, as shown on that certain map entitled" "Tract No. 523, Subdivision of Portion of Horgan Ranch, San Mateo County, Californian, which map was filed in the office of the Recorder of San Mateo County, State of California, on March 17, 1940, in Liver 23 of Maps at page 40; and ' 'WHEREAS, said petition has been filed with and received by the City of Redwood City; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT AND IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Redwood City does by this resolution give notice of such proposed annexation, does hereby designate said territory as the Klang Property, and does further fix Monday, the 3rd day of January, 1949 at the hour of 9:00 o'clock P.M. at the Council Chambers'in the City Hall at Redwood City, California as -the day, hour and place when and where any person owning real property within such territory so proposed to be annexed and having any objections to the proposed annexation may appear before the City Council and show cause why such territory should not be annexed. Passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Redwood City at a regular meeting thereof held on the 6th day of December, 1948, by the following vote: AYES, and in favor of the passage and adoption of the foregoing resolution: Councilmen: BRITSCHGI, GRANGER, HOLMQUIST, MORGAN, SPILLERS, SWIFT, and Mayor WERDER.
