RESOLUTION No.636. ANNEXATION,.Lots l to 8, -Part of Horgan Ranch. A pair of maps were 77 <br />submitted showing all of Woodside Road zoning from E1 Camino Real. City Attorney <br />Currie stated if .property was not contiguous this would necessitate separate pro- <br />ceedings. Councilman Spillers offered resolution and moved adoption that proceedings <br />i <br />be started on this and a public hearing be held the first meeting in January, seconded <br />0 <br />J1 <br />I <br />by Councilman Britschgi, and carried on roll call. Mr. Klang wished some assurance <br />that the intent of the Council with regard to the annexation proceedings would be <br />in favor of making this commercial. City Attorney Currie stated that the petition <br />for annexation was definitely unconditional, and the records should so show. <br />RESOLUTION No, 636 <br />RESOLUTION GIVING -NOTICE OF PROPOSED ANNEXATION OF KLANG PROPERTY <br />WHEREAS, proceedings for the annexation to the City of Redwood City of -the <br />territory hereinafter described have been commenced by A. KLAND filing a petition <br />for annexation; and <br />WHEREAS, the area proposed to be,annexed is described as follows: <br />Lots 1, '29 3, 41 5, 6, 7, and S`, as shown on that certain map entitled" <br />"Tract No. 523, Subdivision of Portion of Horgan Ranch, San Mateo County, <br />Californian, which map was filed in the office of the Recorder of San <br />Mateo County, State of California, on March 17, 1940, in Liver 23 of <br />Maps at page 40; <br />and ' <br />'WHEREAS, said petition has been filed with and received by the City of Redwood <br />City; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT AND IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED that the City Council of the <br />City of Redwood City does by this resolution give notice of such proposed annexation, <br />does hereby designate said territory as the Klang Property, and does further fix <br />Monday, the 3rd day of January, 1949 at the hour of 9:00 o'clock P.M. at the Council <br />Chambers'in the City Hall at Redwood City, California as -the day, hour and place <br />when and where any person owning real property within such territory so proposed to <br />be annexed and having any objections to the proposed annexation may appear before <br />the City Council and show cause why such territory should not be annexed. <br />Passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Redwood City at a regular <br />meeting thereof held on the 6th day of December, 1948, by the following vote: <br />AYES, and in favor of the passage and adoption of the foregoing resolution: <br />Councilmen: BRITSCHGI, GRANGER, HOLMQUIST, MORGAN, SPILLERS, SWIFT, and Mayor <br />WERDER. <br />NOES, Councilmen: NONE <br />ABSENT, Councilmen: NONE <br />ATTEST: <br />RALPH S. Councilman Granger moved that this be placed on <br />the agenda for the next meeting, seconded by Councilman Holmquist. Councilman <br />Granger stated that when a candidate dropped out the Council was entitled to <br />further consideration.
