<br />RESOLUTION OF INTENTION. JOHNSON STREET IMPROVEMENTS. Councilman Morgan, Jr. offered for
<br />adoption, Resolution of Intention, Johnson Street Improvements, seconded by Council-
<br />man Swift. Resolution carried on roll call. Councilmen Britschgi and Spillers
<br />noted absent. City Attorney advised that notices must be posted 15 days before
<br />hearing and hearing normally would be set for the 20th day of September. However,
<br />inasmuch as the Councilmen would be out of town on that date it was decided to set
<br />the date of September 24th as the date of the hearing and for the second Council
<br />meeting in September.
<br />RESOLUTION No. 610
<br />RESOLUTION OF INTENTION TO CONSTRUCT IMPROVEMENTS JOHNSON STREET
<br />RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Redwood City, that in its opinion
<br />the public interest and convenience require, and it is the intention of said Council
<br />to order, the following work to be done and improvements to be made, all in confom-
<br />ity with the provisions of the Redwood City Improvement Procedure Ordinance (Ordi-
<br />nance No: 33, adopted March 14, 1932, as amended), to wit:
<br />The proposed improvements shall consist of the following:
<br />(a) Grading and construction of pavement, curbs and gutters, sidewalks,
<br />and.driveway approaches on Johnson Street between Roosevelt and
<br />Oak Avenues;
<br />(b) Construction of a storm sewer system to extend from Roosevelt Avenue
<br />to Oak Avenue on Johnson Street and to the creek north of Redwood
<br />Avenue by way of Oak Avenue and Reese Street.
<br />Said Council of said City does hereby determine and declare that the foregoing
<br />work and improvements are of more than local or ordinary public benefit, and will
<br />affect and benefit the lands and district hereinafter mentioned, which said district
<br />is hereby declared to be the district benefited by said work and improvements; that
<br />therefore the entire cost and expense of said work and improvements shall be, and
<br />they are, hereby made chargeable against and shall, be assessed upon said lands and
<br />district, which district is wholly within the limits of said City of Redwood City,
<br />State of California, and is described as follows:
<br />All the lots of Subdivision of Lot 10, Wooster, Whitton and
<br />Montgomery's Subdivision, a map of which was filed April 11,
<br />1910, Book 7 of Maps, Page 14, San Mateo County records, and
<br />of Subdivision of Reserve section of Lot 10, Wooster, Whitton
<br />and Montgomery's Subdivision, a map of which was filed August
<br />20, 1910, Book 7 of Maps, Page 26, San Mateo County records.
<br />' All the work and improvements provided for herein shall be done and made to
<br />the grades as shown on the plana, profiles, and detailed drawings, which grades
<br />are hereby adopted as:the official grades for said work and improvements, and
<br />reference is hereby made to said plans, profiles, and detailed drawings, for descrip-
<br />tion of the grades to which said workis to be done and said improvements are to be
<br />made, and the same are hereby made a part hereof.
<br />All the work and improvements hereinabove described are to be done and made at
<br />the locations and positions, and of the size and dimensions, and of the materials,
<br />[� as shown and described on said plans, profiles, detailed drawings and specifications
<br />' �4�■ adopted by the Council of the City of Redwood City on the 30th day of August, 1949,
<br />and now on file in the office of the Clerk of said City, to which plans, profiles,
<br />detailed drawings and specifications reference is hereby made, for a complete
<br />description and location of said work and improvements, and for further particulars,
<br />and the same are hereby made a part hereof by reference.
<br />Said City Council further declares.that all public streets and highways and
<br />other public property within said assessment district, in use in the performance of
<br />a public function as such, shall be omitted from.the assessment hereafter to be made
<br />to cover the costs, and expenses of said improvements.
