WERDER <br />Mayor of the City of Redwood City <br />COUNCILMAN GRANGER ASKED PRESENT STATUS of matter of studying right-of-way between City <br />and Poole property. Councilman Holmquist stated that they had been studying the <br />matter and were awaiting for certain information from the Engineering Department. <br />Councilman Granger stated that he was of the opinion that considerable dirt fill <br />was available at this time which might be used on this project. Councilman Granger <br />moved, seconded by Councilman Swift, that City Engineer Jain check into the matter <br />and estimate the cost of culvert and fill -at this location to report back at the <br />next meeting: Motion carried. <br />MAYOR WERDER REQUESTED ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT *MILLER to check into the disaster relief <br />committee to determine what the present status was and what should be done at this <br />time. <br />COUNCILMAN BRITSCHGI REQUESTED INFORMATION REGARDING the property on'Arguello Street <br />formerly used for Sister' Home. He stated that present owners were using a portion <br />of -this -building for a charitable organization and he understood there was a - <br />possibility they might request tax exemption.- City Attorney Currie will check into <br />the matter and report back. <br />COUNCILMAN BRITSCHGI REQUESTED INFORIdATION ON THE SENDER LINE now being constructed in <br />connection with the seage treatment plant and -was informed the contract was not <br />completed at this time nor had the line been tested. <br />!� COUNCILMAN BRITSCHGI SUGGESTED THE POSSIBILITY OF THE MAYOR'S AND CITY MANAGER'S DIVISION <br />of the Peninsula League to take some action toward requesting the State to divide <br />f the Bayshore from San Mateo to Palo Alto until such time as the freeway could be <br />constructed. He called attention to the several bad accidents which had happened <br />between these points, he being of the opinion that the division of the highway would <br />ij eliminate many of these accidents. The matter will be discussed further at the <br />_ Mayor's and City Manager's conference. <br />COUNOIL14AN BRITSCHGI•CALLED ATTENTION TO THE BAD CONDITION OF CHARTER STREET after Land <br />Development Company's installation of water lines.
