Motion carried. <br />COUNCILMAN HOLMQUIST AGAIN CALLED ATTENTION TO THE CONDITION OF STREETS AIJD SIDEWALKS <br />IN THE VICINITY OF THE SORENSON CONTRACT calling particular attention to the end of <br />Walnut and Bradford Streets and sidewalks. City Engineer Jain stated he had attempted <br />to have this matter attended to but had received no co-operation from the contractor. <br />After considerable discussion Councilman Granger moved, seconded by Councilman Swift, <br />that City Attorney Currie notify contractor that the conditions referred to by the <br />Council must be corrected immediately. If the work is not done by the contractor <br />the City will undertake to clean up the situation and charge the expense to -his <br />account. <br />COUNCILMAN HOL14QUIST CALLED ATTENTION TO THE BAD INTERSECTION AT VALOTA ROAD AND <br />ROOSEVELT AVENUE stating that there had been accidents at this point. City Manager <br />Rolison reported that the Fact Finding Committee was working on this at the present <br />time. <br />COUNCILMAN HOLMQUIST REQUESTED CITY ENGINEER JAIN TO ARRANGE TO PLACE WHITE LINE IN THE <br />CENTER OF HARBOR BOULEVARD stating that during recent foggy mornings considerable <br />difficulty was experienced by motorists in driving over this road. City Engineer <br />Jain will take care of this matter. <br />COUNCII14AN HOLMQUIST CALLED ATTENTION TO THE CONDITION OF THE SIDEWALKS ON MIDDLEFIELD <br />ROAD which were installed by the Telephone Company some months ago. JOHN McINNES, 595 Blandford Boulevard, owner of 1947 Dodge Sedan, was <br />submitted by the California State Automobile Association Inter -Insurance Bureau. <br />On October 20th, on Woodsworth Street, his car,was allegedly damaged while backing <br />up, by a brach of an Acacia tree which extended 10 inches beyond the curb line at T <br />four foot height and 12 inches f <br />g past the curb at five foot height. The estimated i <br />amount of damage wa $150. Claim was denied and referred to the insurance carrier <br />I <br />on motion of Councilman Morgan, seconded by Councilman Holmquist, and carried. C <br />TEEN-AGE CENTER BILL AS FOLLOWS was presented by Alfred Morton, Director of Recreation, <br />for payment from Special Recreation Fund in the amount of 079.05. Councilman <br />Morgan moved that bills be paid, seconded by Councilman Holmquist, and carried. <br />Viking Spec. Co. $8.07 - 13.21 & Sunshine Distributing Co. $57.50 - Total ;79.05. <br />
