<br />Lots 7 and S. Block 5, Range,C,-'Mezesville; and did send a copy -of said 97
<br />notice so posted, by registered.mail, postage prepaid, to the owners of said real
<br />property, as said owners are listed upon the books of the City Assessor of said City
<br />of Redwood City, to wit: 11R. E. Manley, 509 Allerton, Redwood City, California"; and
<br />WHEREAS, in and by said notice to abate nuisance, said Building Inspector of the
<br />City of Redwood City did fix Monday, December 6, 1948, at the hour of 8:00 o'clock
<br />P.M. of said day at the Council Chamber in the City Hall on Middlefield Road in said
<br />City of Redwood City, as the time and place when the owner of the buildings situated
<br />upon said real property could appear and be heard and show cause why said buildings
<br />should not be condemned as a public nuisance and abated by.reconstructing or prop-
<br />erly repairing said buildings or by razing or removing the same; and
<br />'WHEREAS, said Council did regularly continue said hearing until the 3rd day of.
<br />January, 1949, at 8:00 o'clock P.M.; and
<br />WHEREAS, said Council did proceed on the 3rd day of January, 1949, with said
<br />hearing, and after considering all objections made and received, does determine that
<br />due and legal notice of said hearing was given as required by the'ordinances of the
<br />City of Redwood City, as appears from the affidavit of L. M. Duncan on file in the
<br />office of the City Clerk;
<br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the. City of Redwood City, and
<br />said Council does hereby declare, that the building (approximately 12' by 201) situ-
<br />ated on the rear portion of said real property hereinabove described is a"public
<br />nuisance, and does hereby direct the owner thereof to abate said nuisance within
<br />thirty (30) days from the adoption of this resolution, by having said building razed
<br />or removed, and if said building is not so abated by said owner, the Building Inspec-
<br />tor of the City of Redwood City is hereby ordered and directed to raze or remove
<br />said building, and that the expenses thereof be made a lien -on the lot or parcel of
<br />land from which said building or structure is*removed and which is hereinabove
<br />described.
<br />Passed and adopted by the. Council of the City of Redwood City at a regular
<br />meeting thereof held on the 3rd day of January, 1949, by the following vote:
<br />AYES, and in favor of the passage and adoption of the foregoing resolution:

<br />tion.was adopted to abate.this'building and the 30 days were up. One of the tenants
<br />contacted the Building Inspector's office and asked for an extension of time to move
<br />the barber shop into the building being remodelled and new entrance being put in.
<br />Councilman Holmquist confirmed the circumstances of the tenant. This was carried
<br />on the agenda on motion of Councilman Granger, seconded by Councilman Morgan, until
<br />the next regular meeting. Motion carried.
<br />ABATEMENT 968 14AIN STREET. This lot adjacent to the Perry property was never cleaned up
<br />after the building was razed although owners had been notified to do so. City
<br />Attorney Currie stated the City could clean it tip at the expense of the owner as they
<br />had failed to do so themselves. Councilman Morgan moved that owners be instructed
<br />to clean up the lot within two weeks, or the City would do it and charge them,
<br />seconded by Councilman Swift, and carried.
<br />ABATEMENT SOLARI PROPERTY, shack at the rear of 344 Fuller Street, G. B. Solari, 260
