City Engineer stated the City <br />would need an easement for Oak and Reese and suggested the City trade his r egUest <br />for permit through City property for an easement through his property to extend 00 <br />Avenue. Councilman Royer <br />moved that this be turned over to the Real Estate Committee for a report back -at th, �a <br />meeting Monday night, August 14th, seconded by Councilman Spillers and carried, <br />DOUGLASS & WOODHOUSE OFFER TO DEDICATE HOViLAND, STANDISH & WINSLOW STREET EXTENSIONS, <br />City Engineer submitted a letter stating we were in receipt of a Performance Bond <br />from Douglass & Woodhouse in the amount of $2000 guaranteeing the construction of <br />a 2" asphaltic pavement on Standish and Howland Streets between Winslow & Bayshore <br />Highway. They had requested permission to construct a 2 -inch water line in both <br />these streets. Deeds were presented to the City In 1947 but were not accepted by <br />the City at that time, probably because the streets had not yet been improved as <br />required by the former City Engineer and City Manager. It was his recommendation <br />that dedication of these two streets be accepted and portions of Winslow, provided <br />improvements are constructed as agreed and that they would be permitted to construct <br />water lines in both Standish &: Howland Streets so that the City could install water <br />services to the adjoining properties. They had agreed to complete the paving and <br />water lines on or before September 15, 1950. It was recommended that Douglass& <br />Woodhouse be required to furnish a title policy to these streets proposed to be <br />dedicated so that the City would have full assurance of ownership. Councilman <br />Spillers moved that City Engineer's recommendation be accepted, seconded by Council. <br />man Herkner and carried on roll call, Councilman Granger voting No. <br />TRAFFIC FACT FINDING COMMITTEE RECOMMENDATIOid 20 FT. The Traffic Fact Finding <br />Committee felt it was reasonable and necessary. It was recommended that an ordinans <br />be introduced establishing the zone or if proposed ordinance by I<Lr. .
