City <br />At;torney;Currie .checked over their recommendation and there seemed to be no changes <br />it read as the ordinance was published; he was to check further and report back <br />at the next meeting. <br />aBt1ILDING INSPECTOR'S RECOIMMMATION REGARDING SCAFFOLDING OVER STREETS AND SIDIi IKS. <br />]Jr. Duncan submitted the following recommendation regulating the construction of <br />;safeguards on .street fronts of buildings being erected, altered or repaired in <br />the City {of Redwood City. <br />All ',buildings in the business district of the City of Redwood City, which <br />,are being -erected, altered, or repaired must protect the public by erecting <br />:safeguards on street fronts or sides. Such safeguards on street fronts and <br />b des ,must have not less than a 2" x 3" (two by three inches) top and bottom <br />plate with 2" x 3" (two by three inches) studds spaced not more than 4' ()}.feet) <br />.centers. Vhen safeguard is on sidewalk or City property, the ends must return <br />to ;and be .securely .fastened to the building. If safeguard is over five feet <br />03 ) in taeight it must be not less than 2" x 411 ( two by four inches) top and <br />bottom plate with 2" x V (two by four inches) atudds not more than 4t (four <br />deet) centers and one row of 2" x to (two by four inch) bridging half way <br />between the top and, bottom plate.
