When the Council <br />adopted the new salary plan, certain Engineering Inspeetars were making 01.85 <br />.an hour. They were to be placed in the classification of Senior Engineering <br />Aide and to be paid 0305 a month. Mr. Jain requested permission to continue per- <br />mission to continue paying at 01..85 and request was granted. At the present time <br />j 01.$5 did not enable him to hire capable inspectors and with large number of <br />important assessment projects coming up, the Personnel Board felt the City should <br />have best possible inspection and recommended that when the new, salary ordinance <br />would be passed in July that the rate be established at $2.25 retroactive to <br />4 Junel, 1950. The position of Inspector would be temporary and not in competitive <br />�i classification. City Clerk brought to the attention of the <br />Council three City owned tax -deeded lots in Redwood Terrace No. 1, West Redwood <br />on which bonds were fissured totaling $594,21 for street improvements and Seven <br />tax delinquent lots In the name of State of California, Kensington Square storm <br />and sanitary sewer bond assessments totaling $234.86. It was desired to know <br />ATTE, <br />what disposition the Council viished to take in regard to the bonds, whether or <br />not the Cityts credit would be effective in this instance was discussed.
