Ifit <br />or <br />alue o� <br />an I <br />riot <br />'ked <br />ngi4 <br />S. <br />C, PALMER <br />appeared regarding resubdivision of a portion of Lot 17, rear of 410 west Oakwood Blvd. 177 <br />planning Commssion, had recommended approval, subject to certain conditions, however, building permit <br />had been offered to Mr. Palmer on the condition that he face his building 'toward the proposed extension <br />of Roble Avenue instead of East Oakwood Blvd. Councilman Jones moved, seconded by Councilman Spillers, <br />that Building T.nspector issue permit allowing house to face on East Oakwood, Mr. palmar agreeing to pay <br />his share of the improvement if and when Roble Avenue is extended. Motion carried. <br />MOON, O,= OF LOT ON THE ALAMEDA, part of which was in the County but the majority of which was within <br />�i• <br />the City limits. This matter has been referred to the Planning Commission for their recommendation. Mr. <br />Mallon agrees to sign petition for annexation. Inasmuch as the County Bldg. Inspector relinquished all <br />rights to the City Inspector, Councilman Spillers moved, seconded by Councilman Royer, that building per- <br />mit be authorized. City Engineer Jain agreed to check further with Mr. Mallon regarding sewer connection. <br />FLEDEpARTIM was authorized to hang a banner across Broadway advertising their First Annual Benefit Dance <br />adequate insurance to be furnished by the department, on motion of Councilman Spillers, seconded by <br />Councilman Royer. Motion carried. <br />p%oNNEL BOARD still considering matter of salary Police Lieut. Falstich. Counciman Spillers asked present <br />status of the above matter. Civil Service Committee working on the matter with the Personnel Board. <br />STATE SURVEY OF RECREATION FACILITIES has been requested by the City, Elementary Schools and `Sequoia High <br />School. Survey will not be conducted until late November or early December. This information in reply <br />to inquiry of Councilman Spillers. <br />pROPOSED EXTENSION OF OAK STREET. City Manager Rolison has secured two appraisals of property desired for <br />Oak St. extension. City Clerk directed to send copies of appraisals to members of the real estate <br />comfaittee. <br />FROST AND BRIAN bill for work done on Broadway -Marshall. City Engineer Jain reported that bill had not been <br />approved to date. There were some differences of opinion regarding method of assessment for storm <br />drains, also the question of making certain corrections in the assessment as originally submitted. <br />COLORS- CITY EQUIPMENT. Councilman Herkner commented on the variation of colors and suggested that a <br />standard color be selected and all equipment be so designated with the possible exception of the Police <br />and Fire Equipment:, On motion of Councilman Granger, seconded by Councilman Herkner, City Manager was <br />directed to study the matter and bring back a recommendation. <br />CONCIL10 GRANGER called attention to the practice of certain firms dumping fill along Bayshore Highway <br />leaving the area unsightly. He suggested that such fill be spread and a time limit be allowed to <br />accomplish this. City Attorney Currie will look into the control of this situation. <br />EAOLE HILL ALLEYS. Councilman Granger requested City Engineer Jain to investigate the report that Mr. <br />Clar'kson's garage still bore oil splatterings which prevented him to paint garage. Mr. Jain will in - <br />lid vestigate-this. <br />OM"ILMO GRANGER called attention to the storing of trucks and equipment on vacant lot near the Bradford <br />sts <br />Street Bridge. � g Referred to City Attorney. <br />p'0• &E: REMOVAL OF POLES AND EQUIPMENT, Jefferson Avenue north of Broadway, Councilman Granger asked the <br />present status of this matter.
