E011 <br />1.94 <br />LETTER FR014 C. CALIC, CALLISON'S READY TO }YEAR, 2013 BROAWAY REQUESTING PERKTT FON. CLOSING OUT SALE. <br />His <br />lease expires April 15, 1951, and he requested permission to run sale from 90 to 1.20 days and he unshed <br />sale to start November 15• Council could request complete inventory according to Ordinance #437 on <br />Closing Out Sales as of this date. City Attorney stated technically there was no proper application <br />before the Council at this time. Councilman Granger moved that License Collector deliver a copy of <br />Ordinance, take a spot inventory, and have Calic submit proper application. In the meantime, his $25.00 <br />check was to be returned. Motion seconded by Councilman Morgan and carried. <br />OATH OF OFFICE — H. S. STOUT, PARK & RECREATION C01tISSIONER. City Clerk Pro—tern Miller administered oath, <br />and Mr. Stout was welcomed by Mayor Britschgi on behalf of the Counc7,1 for accepting the office and its <br />responsibilities. Mr. Stout thanked Mr. Rolison and the Council for the appointment. <br />PUBLIC HEARING, POPLAR, JUNIPERO & VIRGINIA AVENUE ASSESSMENTS. Affidavits of publication, posting and <br />mailing were ordered filed by the Mayor <br />PUBLIC DARING: The following submitted written protests: Helen Riley, 1738 Redwood Avenue, Assessment 0, <br />Lots 21 & 22.9 Blk 10, West Rvrd Addn; Robert Von Hein, 2015 Redwood Avenue: George (Castro, 346 Junipero <br />Avenue, Corner Lot 16 & 172 Blk 9; Joseph A. & Marguerite G. Ferlatte, 563 -43rd Avenue, SF 21. ldiss <br />Riley and Mr. Von Hein also appeared and voiced their objedtions. Mr. Jain stated there were no protests <br />during the work on the project until this time. Mr. Jain and Mr. Sorensen, the contractor were to check <br />further with Miss Riley regarding her protest. Mr. Von Hein had protested that he did not receive <br />notice. The notice of improvements with a metes and bounds description is mailed to each property <br />owner in the assessment district, and the properties are posted with notice besides publishing it in <br />the local paper. CROSSIPIG. City <br />APPROVAL REQUESTED WITHIN 30 DAYS. The master plan involved 6 Bay crossings. Mayor Britschgi had attended KaLIC IfE <br />one of these meetings and he saw no reason why the Council should immediately pass on this request seen <br />or the next one on the agenda which was a REQUEST OF BLDG & CONSTRUCTION TRADES COUNCIL FOR THE CITY MIC HE <br />COUNCIL TO ADOPT RESOLUTION PETITIONING GOVERNOR WARREN TO CCNSIDER AND PROPOSE THE "REBER PLAN". sece <br />He did not believe the Council should be involved in the Bay project crossings and suggested that both P'12LICHE <br />of these items be filed as the matter would be greatly debated in the next 60 or 90 days. Councilman PROP <br />Morgan moved that both items be filed, based on the Mayor's recommendation, seconded by Councilman meet <br />Granger and carried.
