Granger, Sidney D. Herkner <br />il, <br />Paul Jones, Albert H. IJiorgari, Jr.. l'Vm H. Royer, Mayor Carl A. Britschgi, and City <br />Clerk Ralph S. Dodge. Also present were: City Manager E. A. Rolison, City Attorney <br />C. B. Currie, City Engineer Glenn M. Jain, Administrative Assistant Richard D. Miller, <br />Building Inspector L. MI. Duncan, Police Chief Stanley D. Wood, Fire Chief J. Preliminary studies had <br />been made by department heads relative to several City wide improvements which had <br />been discussed informally with the City Council from time to time. Sufficient funds <br />were not available and it was proposed to submit report for the purpose of consideringr <br />the advisability of calling a special election to permit the issuance of bonds to <br />cover cost of such improvements as the Council might determine essential. Major <br />Projects under consideration: <br />E is ii, <br />� <br />1. Enlargement of water mains to meet the National Board of Fire Underwriters <br />I <br />requirements. Interest and redemption of either general obligation or <br />revenue bonds to be financed from water revenues without any increase in <br />taxation. <br />I <br />;I <br />2. Installation of major trunk sanitary sewers to replace some which are <br />entirely inadequate due to our greatly increased population. It is also <br />�.: <br />I'„I,I <br />intended that necessary bonds for this.project be financed from sewerkkk <br />rentals without any tax increase., <br />3.
