Councilman Morgan moved City Attorney review present <br />ordinance, bring in new ordinance or modify present ordinance by the first meeting <br />in April, if possible. Motion carried. Councilman Royer asked that record show <br />he voted against motion to post immediately for reasons stated above. <br />RESOLU^1ION N0. 1O42 INTENTION TO WIODIFY AND AMEND FRIENDLY ACRES IMPROVEMENTS. City <br />Attorney explained necessity to adopt this resolution was to eliminate certain work <br />adjecent to lots which were taken over by the State in connection with Freeway. <br />Councilman Royer offered resolution and moved adoption, seconded by Councilman <br />morgan, and carried on roll call, Councilman Jones noted absent. <br />ORDIUKE 666 AMEIiDING ORDINANCE 1111.S, PERSONNEL ORDINANCE DELETING SECTION 82. <br />Affidavit of publication ordered filed. Council Granger moved adoption, seconded <br />by Council Elorgan, and carried on roll call, Council Jones noted absent. <br />PROPOSED TRAVELLING BILL BOARD ORDINANCE. Councilman Royer"reported for the committee <br />and suggested change in hours of operation shown ori Page 3 of proposed ordinance. <br />Changes suggested were from 9:00 AM to 12:00 to be changed to 10:00 to 12:00; <br />7:00 to 9:00 PM to be changed to 8:00 to 9:00 Pid. Councilman Spillers was of <br />the opinion these travelling bill boards should be eliminated entirely from Broad- <br />way and Main Streets. Councilman Granger suggested trying out the ordinance as <br />submitted, amendments to be offered later If necessary. After discussion as to <br />days on which boards would not be allowed to operate, Councilman Royer moved, <br />seconded by Council Herkner, that boards be eliminated from Broadway and Main, <br />on Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays, Councilman Herkner moved that fee be raised <br />from $1.00 to '010.00 per day, seconded by Councilman Morgan. Councilman Royer <br />moved amendment to motion setting fee at $5.00 per day. Died for lack of second. <br />Roll call vote on Councilman Herkners motion carried, Councilman Royer voting No. <br />Councilman Spillers moved boards be eliminated entirely from Broadway' to Main, sec- <br />onded by Councilman h1organ. Committee <br />recommended stop signs on Middlefield on all streets from Bayshore to Jefferson <br />Ave; Recommendation approved, resolution offered by Councilman Spillers, seconded <br />by Councilman Morgan, and carried on roll call, Councilman Jones absent. <br />TRAFFIC FACT FINDING COL21ITTEE RECOI+aiENDATION regarding intersection of James Harrison <br />and Ave. del Ora. They suggest that the best safety measure for this area would be <br />to pass ordinance making it illegal to park a car on a hill without turning wheels <br />into curb.
