<br />Mrs Frnest Bevilockway appeared in person protesting the increase in assessment of his land from
<br />$1340 in 1950-51 to $2090 in 1951-52. Assessor Brophy advised the method of -raising assessments
<br />based on surrounding values, improvements of the area, etc. He stated further that all land in the
<br />area had been raised on the same formula. 'Consensus of opinion was that the assessment was fair and
<br />should stand.

<br />the first Monday of March at which time assessment was recorded. Attorney realized the fact that"th
<br />jai, governed the matter, but was asking the Board to cancel the assessment. County had declined to
<br />cancel on advice of the District Attorney, who ruled they had no other alternative but to assess as
<br />of March late City Attorney Currie concurred in this opini(cn, and he was directed to write Mr
<br />Colon to that effect.
<br />T. J.Dusel, represented by Mr. Jas. Miller protested the personal property valuation placed on office
<br />'furniture and fixtures. Valuation was fixed at $280 whereas'Mr. Miller claimed $150 was proper.
<br />On motion of Councilman Royer, seconded' by Councilman Jones, moved that all protesta,'written or oral,
<br />be'denied. Motion carried.
