Councilman Granger offered <br />resolution and moved adoption, seconded by Councilman Morgan and carried on roll <br />call, Councilman Spillers noted absent. <br />RESOLUTION No. 890 <br />OF INTENTION TO ACQUIRE AND CONSTRUCT IMPROVEMENTS <br />BROADWAY -MARSHALL STREET AND VICINITY IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT <br />RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Redwood City, California, that in <br />its opinion the public interest and convenience require, and that it is the inten- <br />tion of said Council to order the following acquisitions to be had and work to be <br />done and improvements to be made, to -wit: <br />1. The opening and extending of Marshall Street for a width of 95.36 feet <br />from its 'easterly terminus at Redwood Creek easterly in a direct line to Walnut <br />Street, and the acquisition of easements therefor. <br />2. The widening of Marshall Street, formerly known as Liguori Street, 20 <br />feet on the southerly side, from Maple Street to Chestnut Street, and the acquisi- <br />tion of easements therefor. <br />3. The opening and extending of Marshall Street from the easterly end of <br />Marshall Street, as proposed herein to be opened and extended from Redwood Creek <br />to Walnut Street, for a width of 80 feet easterly, to the intersection of Maple <br />Street with the westerly end of Marshall Street heretofore known as Liguori Street <br />and the acquisition of an easement necessary therefor. <br />4* The improving of Marshall Street, a portion of which was formerly known <br />as Liguori Street, as proposed to be opened, widened and extended, from Jefferson <br />Avenue to Chestnut Street, by grading and constructing on either side thereof 1 <br />Portland cement concrete curbs, gutters and sidewalks over 4 -inch rock base, and j <br />by grading and constructing between gutters 4 -inch asphalt concrete wearing sur- <br />face pavement with a 6 -inch water bound rock macadam crusher -run base pavement I <br />over a 6 -inch rock sub -base, and by constructing therein vitrified clay pipe <br />sanitary sewer mains, and laterals, together with red burnt brick manholes cora- f <br />plate capped with cast iron frames and covers; the construction of reinforced <br />pipe storm drains together with red burnt brick manholes capped with cast iron <br />frames and covers and Portland cement concrete catch basins with fromes and grates, <br />5• The construction of a continuous Portland cement concrete slab bridge <br />on wood piles and Portland cement concrete piles poured in place, together with <br />abutment walls, wing walls and guard rails across Redwood Creek in Marshall Street <br />between Jefferson Avenue and MaIn Street. <br />6. The construction of a storm water pumping plant integral with the easterly <br />and southerly end of the wing wall of the bridge across Redwood Creek in Marshall <br />Street between Jefferson Avenue and blain Street, to consist of a Portland cement <br />concrete pumping house, together with dual pumps, motors, mechanical and electrical <br />fixtures and equipment and appurtenances. <br />the map of Embareaderoon of the Subdivisionsandltheortion of easterly Lot i Block 1, as shown on <br />as shown on the map of the Town of Mezesville, for ytherpurpose oft constructinlock g <br />thereon bridge wing walls and for the purpose of realigning Redwood Creek for <br />drainage purposes. <br />8.
