and report back on a petition received some time ago from people in this area <br />together with his recommendation, seconded by Councilman Royer, and carried. <br />OUNCILmAN MORGAN INQUIRED INTO STATUS OF CHARTER STUDY COMMITTEE REPORT. City Attorney <br />Currie stated that they hoped to have this ready for November 30th and presented to <br />the Council in time for the April election. <br />ITY MANAGER ROLISON ADVISED THE SPECIFICATIONS ON THE SQUAD TRUCK AND HOOK AND LADDER <br />'r <br />TRUCK HAD BEEN COMPLETED. Authority to advertise for bids was, granted on motion �11 <br />of Councilman Rolison, seconded by Councilman Jones and carried. <br />ITY ENGINEER STATED THAT STERLING HIGHLANDS HAD AGREED TO FURNISH MATERIAL FOR STREETS <br />DAMAGED PROVIDING THE CITY WOULD FURNISH THE LABOR TO MAKE THE NECESSARY REPAIR. <br />He advised further that Douglass & Woodhouse were working on the pavement at the <br />end of Roosevelt Avenue. <br />OUNCILMAN ROYER MOVED ADJOURNMENT, SECONDS BY Councilman Morgan and carried. <br />ADJOURNED 11:15PM- <br />R. S. DODGE <br />City Clerk <br />Minutes of Regular Meeting <br />Redwood City Council <br />November 5, 1951, 8:00 PM <br />N ROLL CALL the following were present:. Councilmen Floyd D. Granger, Sidney D. Herkner, <br />Paul Jones, William H. Royer, Mayor Carl A. Britschgi and City Clerk R. S. Dodge. <br />Also present were City Iuianager E. A. Rolison, City Engineer Glenn M. Jain, City <br />Attorney C. B. Currie, Water Superintendent H. L. Winter, Fire Chief J. L. Lodi, <br />Police Chief S. D. Wood, Building Inspector L., M. Duncan, Assistant Building Inspec- <br />tor S. Kreiss, Fire Inspector Richard Drivon, Administrative Assistant Richard <br />D. Miller and Assistant Water Superintendent Robert Raylor. Councilmen Morgan and <br />Spillers noted absent. <br />INUTES OF AIXTOURNED MEETINGS October 22nd and October 29th were approved and mailed <br />on motion of Councilman Jones, seconded by Councilman Royer and carried. <br />OUNCILMAN JONES COMMENTED ON REMARK OF ASSISTANT CITY ATTORNEY TO THE EFFECT THAT THERE <br />WAS NO ORDINANCE prohibiting the shooting of fire arms within the City Limits. City <br />Attorney Currie was directed to check and bring in the proposed ordinance to cover. <br />TULSTAF PARK. Mayor Britschgi reported for the committee who had met many times. They <br />finally succeeded in working out a plan. Additional area to that originally pro- <br />posed has been offered to allow access to the park. City Attorney suggested that <br />title policy be ordered to cover the amount of $5000 at the City's expense. <br />Councilman Jones moved that City Clerk Dodge be authorized to accept deed subject <br />to title policy for 05,000, City to pay for same as well as future survey. Motion <br />seconded by Councilman Granger and carried. <br />Councilman Granger moved that the City Attorney prepare the necessary resolution <br />naming the park "STULSTAF PARK", resolution to express the appreciation of the <br />Council for the gift, seconded by Councilman Jones and carried. This was placed on <br />the agenda. Mayor Britschgi expressed his thanks to the committee who had worked <br />very hard and spent many hours in working this matter out. <br />FIDAVIT OF POSTING AND MAILING ORDERED FILED, and public hearing announced by the <br />Mayor on abatement Barbarini property. <br />
