<br />OSEPH AND PASQUALIPdA SODIIJI, 755 EL CAI�;INO REAL, HEARING ON LIQUOR LICENSE was to take
<br />place on May 25th. This had been protested by the Sequoia High School Board of
<br />Trustees and the City Council.. Councilman Granger moved that the City Attorney repre-
<br />sent the City at the hearing, seconded by Councilman Holmquist and carried.
<br />EVISION OF CHICKEN ORDINANCE. Councilman Granger asked that this be placed on the agenda.
<br />ESOLUTIOPI No. 875. AWARDING CONTRACT, STREET IMPROVEMENTS, POPLAR, VIRGINIA, AND JUNIPERO
<br />STREETS. City* Engineer Jain reported that all extensions on bid submitted by Mr.
<br />Sorensen were correct. The bid was $55 over the estimate. Mr. Jain recommende that
<br />the contract be awarded to Mr. Sorensen. Councilman Spillers offered a resolution
<br />and moved adoption, seconded by Councilman Morgan, and carried.

<br />RESOLUTION AWARDING CONTRACT
<br />POPLAR, VIRGINIA AND JUNIPERO AVENUES
<br />WHEREAS the Council of the City of Redwood City did, in open session, on
<br />May 15, 1950, publicly open, examine, and declare all sealed proposals or bids
<br />for doing all the work and making all the improvements described in Resolution
<br />of Intention No. 858 of said Council, passed and adopted by said Council on
<br />April 17, 1950, to which resolution reference is hereby made for further parti-
<br />culars;

<br />BE IT RESOLVED that said Council of the City of Redwood City hereby rejects
<br />all said proposals or bids except that next herein mentioned, and hereby awards
<br />the contract for doing said work and making said improvements to the lowest,
<br />regular, responsible bidder, to wit:
<br />Peter Sorensen
<br />at the prices named in his bid, to which bid reference is 'hereby made for further
<br />particulars.
<br />The City Clerk is hereby directed to publish a notice of this award in the
<br />Redwood City Tribune, a daily newspaper (except Sunday), published, printed and
<br />circulated in said City of Redwood City, and heroby designated for that purpose
<br />by the Council of said City.
<br />Passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Redwood City at a regular
<br />meeting thereof, held on the 15th day of May, 1950, by the following vote:
<br />AYES, and in favor of the passage and adoption of the foregoing resolution,
