Councilman Granger offered the name of Er. Paul <br />Jones of the Planning Commission. Councilman Morgan moved that nominations be <br />closed, seconded by Councilman Royer and carried. <br />Councilman Holmquist left the meeting at 9;30 P. M. <br />APPOIN`I MUTT OF THREE IFIL ,KERS TO THE PLANNING COMMISSION. Councilman Spillers offered the <br />name of Mr. James Mac Donald, 1124 - 17th Avenue, Administrator for the United Air <br />Lines. Councilman Royer named Mr. Leonard 0. Joesten, 467 Avenue Del Ora, Vice <br />President and Head Title Guaranty Company. Councilman Morgan offered the name of <br />Mr. Andrew J. Blakely of the County Engineer's Office. Councilman Vierder moved <br />that nominations be closed subject to receipt of two resignations, seconded by <br />Councilman Morgan and carried. The resignation of Mr. Jos. Territo, Secretary to <br />the Planning Commission had been announced in the newspaper but no official communi- <br />cation had been received confirming this and therefore the appointments were to be <br />made subject to this and Mr. Paul Jones' resignation, Mr. Jones having; been appointeg <br />this evening to the City Council. <br />NO PARKING ZONE CENTER STREET AND EL CAMINO REAL. The Traffic Fact Finding Committee had <br />been studying; the traffic hazard at this point and felt that visibility would be <br />improved by installing; a red no parking zone at the site of the existing bus stop <br />on the left hand side of the Center Street intersection on El Camino Real and <br />recommendation was that the Council establish this, subject to the approval of the <br />State Highway Department. Councilman Vlerder moved approval ordinance to be prepared, <br />forwarded to State and brought back to the Council, seconded by Councilman Spillers <br />and carried. <br />STOP SIGNS ON SPRING STREET stopping; traffic entering from Flynn and Scott Streets. The <br />Traffic Fact Finding; Committe studied the traffic problem on Spring Street at the <br />request of residents in Redwood Village.
