COUNCILMEN HERKNER STATED THAT AGREEMENT HAD BEEN LEFT WITH A MRS. GONSALVES TO PURCHASE 41 <br />LOT 17, Block 8, West Redwood, for the sum of $98, this amour; being one-fifth of the <br />purchase price paid for the five lots in the area. The City Engineer recommended that <br />Lot 17 be used for creek easement,,that he also would require the rear 25 ft of Lots <br />18 and 19. <br />RESOLUTION No. 1290 TRANSFERRING $98 PRO14 UNBUDGETED RESERVE FOR THE PURCHASE OF THIS PROPERTY <br />was offered by Councilman Herkner, who moved adoption, seconded by Councilman Britschgi, <br />and carried on roll call. Councilman Jones and Spillers absent. <br />COUNCILMAN HERKNER REPORTED ON THE PURCHASE OF LOT ADJACENT TO THE RECREATION AREA )ROX THE <br />FOPPIANOS. Original price offered was $800, however, it afterwards developed that the <br />lot being sold was reduced in width and the offer was reduced to $700, Plus the City <br />erecting suitable fence. Councilman Herkner moved that deal be con su­;�mated on this <br />basis, seconded by Councilman Royer and carried. <br />COUNCILWOMAN TINNEY REQUESTED THAT HEREAFTER AGENDA BE PREPARED ON THURSDAY TO BE FOLLOWED <br />BY A SUPPLEMENT ON FRIDAY, if necessary. Herkner, <br />Paul Jones, Vim. H. -Royer, Christine Tinney, Mayor Floyd D. Granger and City Clerk R.S. <br />Dodge. Also present were City Manager E. A. Rolison, City Attorney 0. B. Councilman Spillers noted absent. <br />MINUTES OF REGULAR MEETING JUNE 16th and SPECIAL MEETING JUNE 30th were approved as mailed <br />on motion of Councilman, hoyer,. ssconded by Councilman Herkner and carried.. <br />PUBLIC HEARING, PLAN LINES, BLOCK G, WOODSIDE) AdRES. Affidavits of mailing and ptiblication <br />were ordered filed. Mr. James O'Keefe, Jr. representing property owners in the area <br />presented one petition affecting all property owners in Block "G11 and three additional <br />petitions affecting property in adjacent areas. Mr. O'Keefe stated that in his opinion <br />proposed plan lines were inconsistent (1) with master plan, or establishment of streets <br />and highways section in connection therewith; (2) do not effectively serve in any <br />control of traffic;; (3) street contains jogs,and is not uniform;; (4) lines would create <br />unreasonable cloud upon property affected; (5) would cause unjustified acquisition of <br />improved properties; (6) would violate rights guaranteed at time of annexation to City. <br />Mrs. Martha Roberts, 1631 Union Street read a statement based on the human elem'ent of <br />the proposed plan lines. Mr. Leonard Joesten, member of the Planning Commission spoke <br />from the floor and stated the feelings of the Planning Commission to the effect that <br />they were attempting to forestall a condition which will exist in four or five years <br />similar to conditions hoii exidtinG^fn Friendly Acres affecting large pieces of property <br />
