Councilman Spillers moved approval of Planning Com- <br />mission of recommendation, seconded by Councilman Britschgi and carried. <br />RESOLUTION No. 1300 OF PRELIMINARY DETERMINATION, KENSINGTON SQUARE No. 2. This resolution <br />covers a portion of Kensington Square Improvements and after discussion as to whether <br />of not improvements could be completed before rainy season, Councilman Royer offered <br />t <br />�! resolution and moved adoption, seconded by Councilman Spillers and carried on roll call. <br />The Engineering Department was of the opinion that commencing of the ,job should be left <br />yto the opinion of the property owners at the next hearing. <br />CITY ATTORNEY'S REPORT ON AVAILABILITY OF BOND MONIES FOR RELIEF SEWER PROJECT. Mr. Currie <br />jstated that inasmuch as funds for the sewer project were becoming exhausted and the <br />fact that the Fire Department would need the money available reasonably soon we should <br />proceed to sell additional bonds, based upon the statement of Mr. Brophy, City Auditor, <br />that ,additional funds would be needed soon. It was the City Attorney's thought that <br />in order to secure the best rate of interest the entire block of $500,000 should be <br />offered at this time. Councilman Britschgi moved that proper officials be given author- <br />ity to advertise sale of remaining bonds, seconded by Councilman Royer and carried. <br />CITY ATTORNEY►S REPORT ON STUDY OF TAJI ORDINANCE BY COMMITTEE. Mr. Currie gavehis opinion <br />that Taci Ordinance should be definitely enforced, that the license numbers of taxis <br />should be furnished to the City Collector together with application for permit: Yellow <br />Cab submitted letter to which was attached license numbers of 18 cars all licenses <br />carried. <br />RESOLUTION No. 1301 ESTABLISHING SALARY SCHEDULE 1952-53 .FOR EMPLOYEES. Councilman Spillers <br />offered resolution and moved adoption, seconded by Councilman Herkner and carried on <br />roll call. <br />RESOLUTION No. 1302 OF INTENTION TO MODIFY AND AMEND RESOLUTION OF INTENTION 1090 - FRANKLINS <br />STREET IMPROVEMENTS. City Attorney advised this resolution was necessary due to change <br />in type of culvert and incorporated necessary changes. Councilman Royer offered resolu- <br />tion and moved adoption, seconded by Councilwoman Tinney and carried on roll call. <br />PLANNING COMMISSION RECOMMENDATION REZONE LOTS FACING ELWOOD BETfIEEN JAMES AND BREWSTER <br />AVENUES, THE NW CORNER ELWOOD AND JAMES AVENUE AND THE NE CORNER OF FULTON AND JAMES <br />AVENUE FROM R-1 to R-2. Two public hearings were held. Mr. Leonard Greenwold, repre- <br />senting the Planning Commission commented on the hearings that were held. WIENS TO RESUBDIVIDE+PORTION <br />OF LOT 10, Block 10 (1116 Palm Avenue) WOODSIDE ACRES INTO TWO BUILDING SITES. Mr. <br />Wiens was present and spoke regarding his request for commission to resubdivide Lot 10, <br />stating that in his opinion this resubdivision would result in lots being similar to <br />those now on Palm Avenue and in his immediate area.
