<br />Redwood City Council
<br />August 4, 1952, 8:00 P.M.
<br />ON ROLL CALL the following were present: Councilmembers: Carl A. Britschgi, Sidney D.
<br />Herkner, Paul Jones, Wm H. Royer, Robt V. Spillers, Christine Tinney, Mayor Floyd
<br />D. Granger, and City Clerk R. S. Dodge. Also present were: City Manager E. A.
<br />Rolison, Administrative Assistant Orrin Wendling, City Attorney C. B. Currie, City
<br />Engineer Glenn M. Jain, Civil Engineering Assistant Art Eskelin, Police Chief S. D.

<br />Duncan, Assistant Building Inspectors Stephen Kreiss and Berwin Gyselbrecht, Water
<br />Superintendent H. L. Winter, Auditor -Assessor J. J. Brophy, and Park and Recreation
<br />Commissioner Nim. H. Hanley.
<br />MINUTES OF REGULAR MEETING July 21st and REGULAR ADJOURNED MEETING July 26th were ap-
<br />proved as mailed on motion of Councilman Britschgi, seconded by Councilman Herkner
<br />and carried.
<br />PUBLIC HEARING OF RUBY, OAK, VIRGINIA IMPROVEMENTS. Affidavits of posting and publics -
<br />tion were ordered filed. The Mayor announced the public hearing and there being no
<br />protests offered hearing was closed on motion of Councilman Herkner,.seconded by
<br />Councilman Royer and carried.
<br />RESOLUTION No. 1324 PUBLIC CONVENIENCE AND NECESSITY, RUBY, OAK AND VIRGINIA -IMPROVEMENTS
<br />was offered by Councilman Spillers, who moved adoption, seconded by Councilwoman
<br />Tinney and carried on roll call.
<br />RESOLUTION No. 1325 APPROVING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS, RUBY, OAK AND VIRGINIA IMPROVE-
<br />MENTS WAS OFFERED BY Councilman Spillers, who moved' adoption, seconded by Councilman
<br />Jones and carried on roll call.

<br />RESOLUTION No. 1326 OF INTENTION TO CONSTRUCT CERTAIN IMPROVEMENTS, RUBY, OAK., AND VIRGINIA
<br />IMPROVEMENTS setting date -of hearing for August 25th was offered by Councilman Jones,
<br />who moved adoption, seconded by Councilman Spillers and carried on roll call.
<br />RESOLUTION No.,1327 FIXING MINIMUM WAGE SCALE, RUBY, OAK AND VIRGINIA IMPROVEMENTS was
<br />offered by Councilman Spillers, who moved adoption, seconded by Councilman Herkner
<br />and carried on roll call.
<br />RESOLUTION No. 1328 AUTHORIZING CALL FOR BIDS TO BE OPENED ON August 25th, RUBY, OAK,.AND
<br />VIRGINIA IMPROVEMENTS was offered and moved for adoption by Councilman Royer, sec-
<br />onded by Councilman Britschgi and carried on roll call.
<br />PUBLIC HEARING KENSINGTON SQUARE No. 3 IMPROVEMENTS. Affidavits of posting and publica-
<br />tion were ordered filed. Public hearing was announced and there being no protests

<br />RESOLUTION No. 1329 PUBLIC CONVENIENCE AND NECESSITY, KENSINGTON SQUARE No. 3, was offered
<br />and moved for adoption by Councilman Jones, seconded by Councilman Spillers and
<br />carried on roll call.
<br />RESOLUTION No. 1330 APPROVING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS, KENSINGTON SQUARE No. 3, was

<br />was offered and moved for adoption by Councilman Spillers, seconded by Councilman
<br />Jones and carried on roll call.
